When it comes to NBA sneakerheads is Chris Bosh a name that usually pops into your head? He may not ring bells on the shoe scene in the same way that dudes like Gilbert Arenas and Monta Ellis dude but make no mistake about it, the newly minted NBA Champion definitely has his share of fancy footwork. Levi Maestro had the chance to check out it, stopping by Bosh’s sneaker closet while spending a day with the big man down in Miami. Hit the jump to check out the video of Levi and Bosh that features some goodies like the Air Jordan III “Black/Cement”, the Nike LeBron 9 “Cannon”, and a very special USA flavored Hyperdunk that Bosh himself wore while grabbing a gold medal in the 2008 Olympics.

West Coast streetwear giants Undefeated have released several of their own collaborations with Vans, but most recently, the La Brea location hosted a launch for another Off the Wall tag team effort. It was last Saturday that the Levi Maestro x Vans Vault Old Skool touched down with considerable fanfare, and it seems the shoe’s greyscale upper has bled over into some of these recap images. “My first ever shoe collaboration with Vans Vault [is] releasing [in] January 2012.”
Sneaker News gave you a sneak preview of Levi Maestro’s Vans Vault collabo about a week ago, a video that had the shoe depicted just right so that you couldn’t tell exactly what silhouette he wa holding. A week later, we have a new look at the Maestro Knows x Off the Wall teamup, and it’s pretty clear that the base model at work here is a Vans Old Skool ’77. But Levi didn’t just slap his favorite colors and/or materials on that existing silo, rather, he reworked it into a stripe-less, heel cup-less deconstructed model that’s somewhere between classic California skate and a sneaker that “looks like it could be at Bloomingdales.” The multicolored waffle sole is a nice finishing touch for the tonal grey suede/leather upper, and you can see more images plus the video he shot at the Sneaker Freaker offices, all by clicking on the jump below.

Levi Maestro has created a name for himself on the net over the past couple years, starting off with a variety of insider looks at the world of fashion and sneakers, and now establishing himself to the point where he’s secured a collaboration with the world’s largest skate brand. The Levi Maestro x Vans Vault teamup centers around a tonal black design pairing leather with a slanted suede toecap atop the classic Off the Wall waffle sole that looks like it could be a variation on an established lowtop chukka style like the Cuerpo, maybe a take on the veteran Old Skool lowtop, or perhaps something entirely new. It’s tough to tell from the (likely strategized) camera angles you’ll see in the teaser video after the jump, but it also looks like they might have offset lacing to go with that toe, which would probably be enough to justify this as an entirely new model.
