It was a big weekend in NBA basketball that saw 27 total games over the short three-day span, and with a batch of back to back games for a number of squads, players still managed to lace up some exclusive selections that might go down as some of the best choices of the current season. To start things off, LeBron returned to his latest signature in the Nike LeBron 11 in a metallic silver and red PE. Meanwhile in the Western Conference, Nick Young and Kobe competed to have the best footwear selection on the Lakers with the Black Mamba sporting his Kobe 8 PP PE and Young zipped up a pair of the Nike Air Zoom Flight The Glove in the recently released black, volt, and purple scheme. Two days into the new NBA season and we’re already playing catch up with the onslaught of choice selections around the league. The Cavaliers upset the Brooklyn Nets – but even more surprising were some of the footwear selections by the Home team. 1st overall pick Anthony Bennet came off the bench for the Cavs wearing the Nike Air Foamposite One “Electrolime” while new teammate Jarret Jack tried to top his selection in the Nike Air Flightposite Exposed “Zebra” and even Earl Clark laced up some heat with the Air Jordan IX “Bentley Ellis”. The NBA season is only a day away and while the pre-season served as a warm-up for stars, it was the players vying for a roster spot that stole the show with their on-feet selections. With a league ripe with young talent that’s as sneaker savvy as ever, relative unknowns like Quincy Miller made immediate head-turning impact with picks like the Air Jordan V ‘”Tokyo 23s” and Air Jordan 11 “Cool Greys”. But you can be sure the regulars like the Nick Youngs and Nate Robinsons of the league will be as hungry as ever to remain atop the NBA sneaker landscape during the regular season. While it will be debated which footwear choices were the best over the past month of exhibition play, one thing is for sure: NBA basketball is back and we’re looking forward to the biggest year in NBA Feet history.
