Li-Ning Way of Wade “Veterans Day”

li ning way of wade veterans day 1 Li Ning Way of Wade Veterans Day

Sunday’s commemoration of Veteran’s Day made for some eye-catching sneaker choices as you’ll see in today’s NBA Feet.  Just like teammate LeBron James, Miami shooting guard Dwyane Wade had a special player exclusive ready for the occasion, but unlike LeBron’s straightforward Heat colorup, D-Wade opted for a more patriotic look.  This Li-Ning Way of Wade ’Veteran’s Day’ player exclusive features way more than fifty white stars along its red laces and blue toebox, a look that provides an interesting contrast against the speckles that actually look closer to a real night sky.  The Way of Wade has made quite the impact for an upstart brand already in this short season, so be sure to stick with Sneaker News to see more of Wade’s 2012-13 sneaker stylings.

Li-Ning Way of Wade – On-Feet Images

So the verdict is still out on Dwyane Wade’s first signature shoe with Chinese athletics brand Li-Ning, but all it takes is a nice look of them “on-feet” for us to really judge whether or not the Li-Ning x Wade campaign will have any bearing on the U.S. sneaker scene. Dwyane Wade himself rocked the Way of Wade “Dynasty” during an off-the-court moment for a nice frontal and rear-side view, so what are your thoughts? There’s certainly a lot of detail in the shoes, like that sick ‘W’ lacing structure at the base and that padded tongue. We’d like to hear your thoughts so check out the multiple-angle collage shot below and chime in below.

Still no word on whether Rick Ross is going to get the size 9 he requested, but the Miami Heat players will indeed receive their 2012 NBA Championship rings prior to tonight’s tip-off against the Boston Celtics.  Rozay asked LeBron and Dwyane Wade to hook him up shortly after Miami won the franchise’s second title, but might an even better token of appreciation for South Beach basketball be on Wade’s own feet during the game?  Previewed earlier this morning, the Li-Ning Way of Wade Dynasty Collection brings together two white/black/gold styles with different blocking and a tremendous attention to detail for a couple of styles whose lottery for the 40 available pairs should position these as quite the collector’s item.  Have a closer look after the jump, let us know how these compare to LeBron’s Championship Pack and stick with Sneaker News for updates on Li-Ning’s continuing American conquest.

The Boston Celtics come to Miami for an Eastern Conference Finals rematch against the reigning champion Heat tonight, and a different kind of contest wrapping up tomorrow morning will give sneakerheads a chance to win an extremely limited version of MIA centerpiece Dwyane Wade‘s first Li-Ning signatures.  Two different white/black/gold Li-Ning Way of Wades mark the model’s US debut with just 40 packs available for the lottery that you can enter until Wednesday, October 31st at 10am CST (which would be 10pm tonight on the east coast/7 Pacific, assuming that’s China Standard Time and not the US Central zone which has no apparent connection).  Winners get an email link to purchase the two-pack for $312.06 (a number inspired by Wade’s 3 and his 2012 and ’06 titles), and they’re going to be pleased because these DMP-ish kicks are both classy and so jam-packed full of details you’ll really have to click below to see the full breakdown.

Is the ghost of the Air Jordan lingering on with Dwyane Wade and his plans with Li-Ning? This latest colorway of the Li-Ning Way of Wade draws cues from some of the most popular Air Jordans of all-time, with speckle print on the midsole reminding us of the Air Jordan IV ‘White/Cement’. In addition, the Black/Red/Grey colorway is similar to the Air Jordan III ‘Black/Cement’ and Air Jordan IV ‘Bred’. Will we see more familiar Air Jordan colorways of Wade’s Li-Ning signature shoe? We’ll keep you updated on the unfolding story of Way of Wade so check out the images and let us know in the comments what your opinions are of these familiar colorways.
