Liberty x Nike WMNS “Bourton” Collection

October 28th, 2013 by | 3 comments

liberty nike wmns bourton collection Liberty x Nike WMNS Bourton Collection

The latest of Liberty prints to be selected for a range of Swoosh sneakers is the paisley styled “Bourton”. That look will be applied to the Nike Roshe Run Hi Sneakerboot, the Nike Air Max 1, the Nike WMNS Dunk Sky Hi Sneakerboot, and the Nike Air Revolution Sky Hi. It’s worth noting that the Nike Air Max 1 sticks out amongst the only non-Sneakerboot selection, presumably meaning that that style will elude that winterized rebuild for the time being. Continue reading to see each of the pairs in question and watch for the group now at Liberty of London or in mid-November at global Nike Sportswear retailers.

Liberty x Nike Air Force 1 Downtown – Release Date

liberty nike air force 1 downtown release date 01 Liberty x Nike Air Force 1 Downtown Release Date

Though they had primarily been known for their floral patterns released on ladies sneakers, Liberty of London crossed over for a number of Nike Air Force 1 Downtown designs in 2013.  By this point in the year, having seen them work with Vans and issue a variety of additional NSW collabs, it’s natural to think of Liberty as using their fabrics for guys shoes too, but that wasn’t the case before their AF1 Downtown hightops.  These lows further the sense of Liberty as a label that has something for everyone, as this multicolor pattern based in Midnight Turquoise appeals to a more masculine sensibility.  Check them out from more angles below and be ready for the long-awaited US release date that goes down this Saturday, October 26th at shops like Politics.

Indeed the recently introduced SneakerBoot collection from the Swoosh is getting upgraded with the paisley looking Bourton print straight from that house’s 1960s catalog. Included are the Nike Roshe Run Sneakerboot, the Nike Air Revolution Sneakerboot, that dizzying heights-reaching Nike Dunk Super Sky Hi Sneakerboot, and the Nike Air Max 1 Sneakerboot (Keep in mind this is the first time we’ve been tipped off to the existence of the last on that list). The first of Liberty London’s spring 2013 Nike Sportswear collaborations was revealed before anyone knew who created it. The Liberty x Nike WMNS Free 5.0 V4 is still pending in the Denise Eva material that marked the first quarter’s collabs, and now we see the next pattern in line ready for May. The Hyper Blue, Sail, black and Total Crimson color code doesn’t tell the full story on this rainbow-dotted Free 5.0 V4, a design somewhere between a multicolor wool and pixellated static. Let us know how they compare to the Air Max 1s also slated to drop in a couple months and stick with Sneaker News for US release info.
