Since Olympic judges are apparently only capable of scoring gymnastics, ice skating, snowboarding, skiing and ballroom dancing, skateboarding remains on the outside, looking into the Five Rings. Supra won’t be deterred by the absence of its favorite sport at the London Games, though, because along with the patriotized Owen runners we showed you last week, the Supra Cuttler lowtop will be offered in a ‘London 2012′ construction. This red pigskin suede design adds blue accents and gold eyelets to nail that USA look, though as Lil Wayne shows above, the effect while worn is all-red. Click through to see more photos after the jump before you grab yours from Supra or one of their stockists.

Back in February, Lil’ Wayne conducted an interview with Vibe in which he mentioned that his brand Truckfit won’t be creating its own sneaker line, but that a Weezy sneaker would indeed be upcoming. About two months later, Tunechi confirmed that the partnership would be a continuation of his relationship with Supra, a brand he’d been spotted wearing back in the ‘A Milli’ days when the Crown brand was just getting off the ground. Fast forward to today and an official press release announces to the world that “Supra and Lil Wayne have forged an exclusive relationship that will result in a collection of footwear inspired and overseen by Lil Wayne and manufactured by Supra.” It remains to be seen when these products will arrive at retail and if Wayne’s role ends up being closer to Swizz Beatz’ relationship with Reebok than something like Jeremy Scott x adidas, and with all the ‘Olympic’ and other heat coming up this summer, are you ready for something like a ’500 Degreez’ Skytop III? Let us know what you think about the Supra x Lil’ Wayne partnership and stick with Sneaker News for more details.

Lil’ Wayne has fully immersed himself into the ‘skate’ culture, but you’ll still find him rocking Nikes on a frequent basis – just like when he was sitting courtside during Saturday’s Game 1 between the Heat and the Knicks. The Supra-connected rapper was seen wearing the Nike Air Diamond Turf II in the recently re-released OG 49ers joints to match his outfit that was comparatively ‘toned down’ from his earlier get-ups. For a guy who has openly expressed disdain the Heat players for not giving him any daps, he certainly shells out a lot of cash to see them play live! Game 2 of the Knicks/Heat kicks off tonight – will this series match the intensity of the earlier match-ups from the Van Gundy vs. Riley era? Photos: espn

Whatever kind of deal Lil Wayne inked up with Supra it certainly doesn’t have him staying strictly in their sneakers, as he continues to show Jumpman support with this sighting of the Young Money rapper in the upcoming Air Jordan XI Low retro. Wayne was spotted in the patent leather silhouette at a recent charity basketball game out in Miami, pairing these Cinco de Mayo bangers with some gear from his own TRUKFIT line. Hit the jump with us to get a better look at Weezy on the court and if you just can’t wait for their May 5th release then grab these Air Jordan XI Lows a little early on eBay now. Photos: NT

The man who played a major role in the Southern rap movement (coining the generation-defining term ‘bling’ in the process) has embraced the world of skate head-on, crediting the sport as one of his “pure passions” and as a soul-searching endeavor that has proven to be as rewarding as it is entertaining. Some time ago, Lil’ Wayne hinted at a partnership with a footwear brand and our readers chimed in with some conjecture, but Lil’ Wayne will put that discussion to rest as he confirms a partnership with Skate/Lifestyle brand Supra during a recent interview with MTV. Lil’ Wayne and Supra seem to be a fitting match, so it’s exciting to see what the brand has in store for one of the most unique cross-over superstars of the generation. Your thoughts on an upcoming Supra x Lil’ Wayne signature shoe? Peep the full video interview below and let us know what you think.

Lil’ Wayne rocking the latest Jordan Brand release is, without much surprise, a pretty good fit. The hip-hop artist known for his eccentric and personal mode of fashion is like a walking contemporary pop-art banner, representing a rainbow of colors in some of the most unusual outfits like indoor snow-board boots, jeans over leggings over Jeremy Scott sneaks, wearing fitted caps above a hoodie – in short, he challenges the style ‘norm’ evidenced by other hip-hops artists who wear fitted suits, bowties, lens-less glasses frames, and other ‘dapper’ garments. During a recent stay out in Los Angeles, Lil’ Wayne was spotted rocking the Jordan Son of Mars ‘Pop Art’ going partially unstrapped on both feet to give the shoe another method of ‘wearability’. Without question, the biggest recent news headlines involving the YMCMB star is his verbal confirmation of a signature shoe with a major shoe brand, but he’s already cancelled out as Nike and Reebok as the involved party. Like how Wayne rocked ‘em? Check out the extensive gallery below and let us know what you think. via lilwaynehq

Today’s hip-hop stars have become worldwide fashion icons, with the general public looking up to the likes of Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Pharrell for fashion and style tips above the latest tracks and beats. Few go on as far as emulating the exact style of Lil’ Wayne, who has gained a reputation of owning one of the most unique and eccentric selections of personal threads. Wearing hats above hoodies, snowboard boots indoors, or his penchant for Jeremy Scott’s most animalistic offerings are just some of his more recent ensembles, but if you’re really drawn to that type of get-up, things are about to get interesting because Lil’ Wayne, in an interview with Vibe, just confirmed plans of releasing his own shoe with a major sneaker brand. He does note that it’s “not a Nike or Reebok” or with his own brand Trukfit, and that deal itself is about as good as done – he just needs to sign the dotted line. Any guesses? Maybe his own co-collaboration with adidas and Jeremy Scott? Maybe some super-duper high-top with Supra? How will it compare to the Nike Air Yeezy or the Reebok x Swizz Beatz? Chime in with your thoughts in the comments area below and let us know what you think.

LIV nightclub was the place to be in Miami over the past weekend as a number of hip-hop megastars collided to perform live for legendary Bad Boy producer DJ Stevie J’s birthday. At the event was Lil’ Wayne, Fabolous, Trey Songz, Wiz Khalifa, Ne-Yo, Dr. Dre, Birdman, and many more, but the focus of this feature is on the first three, who caught our attention with their not-yet-released Air Jordans. Lil’ Wayne kicked things off with the Air Jordan XII ‘Playoff’ (releasing in April), followed by Fabolous and his Air Jordan IV ‘Military’ (a June release). Trey Songz kept things a bit more current with the Jordan Spiz’ike ‘Bordeaux’, which will hit stores this Saturday. Check out all three hip-hop sneakerheads after the jump and let us know whose kicks you liked best! via worldredeye
