Last night’s Lakers/Heat show was certainly a hot ticket in South Beach as notable hip-hop celebrities Lil’ Wayne and Ludacris were spotted at the game sitting -where else – courtside. Both spectators came to see the Kobe vs. LeBron duel, with Ludacris watching intently while wearing the Air Jordan VII ‘Olympic’ (dropping later this year) and Lil’ Wayne munching on some popcorn while wearing the Air Jordan III ‘Black/Cement’. Red/Blue shorts, sunglasses, a multi-colored beanie – it must’ve been a toned-down evening for Wayne, but Luda kept it clean by matching his t-shirt-and-jeans outfit with his kicks. Check out both celebrities after the jump and let us know who had the better ‘fit! via ESPN.

Lil’ Wayne sure attends a lot of Heat games for someone who isn’t a Heat fan. The hip-hop artist made some headlines last season for making some comments regarding LeBron and Wade’s “refusal” to acknowledge Lil’ Wayne during a regular season game, who sat courtside. Tunechi was spotted once again sitting in the front row during last night’s Hawks/Heat match-up wearing the Nike Air Yeezy ‘Net’, matching it with an Earl Sweatshirt sweatshirt. Other figments of Weezy fashion included the patented fitted hat above the hoodie and spotted shorts. Check out Lil’ Wayne and the Yeezys after the jump and let us know what you think. via ESPN.

The ‘other’ NBA season continued down in Florida when Dwight Howard hosted the D12 Foundation Celebrity All-Star Game at the the University of Central Florida. This game featured a bit of a twist; the two teams were divided up into New School and Old School, with the former consisting of current NBA players and the latter featuring former NBA stars like Penny Hardaway and Steve Francis. The kicks spotted on court had a heavy ‘Air Penny’ theme, as Penny himself wore the Nike Zoom Rookie ‘Memphis Blues’ during warm-ups and switched up to the all-white Foamposite One 1-of-1 PEs for the game. Other notables included Lil’ Wayne’s Binary Blue Zoom Rookies (he coached the ‘New School’ squad) and Earl Clark’s Glow In The Darks, Gilbert Arenas’ Air Jordan VI ‘Orlando’ Customs, Steve Franchise’s Air Jordan 8.0, Quentin Richardson’s Air Jordan XI ‘DMP’, and Dwight Howard’s adiPower Howard. Check out the additional images from this great charity event below and let us know who takes the crown for the best kicks! Thanks to @notmattg!

When was the last time you saw Lil’ Wayne in Air Jordans? Lil’ Wayne’s taste in sneaker is undoubtedly one of the more eccentric ones out there, because in today’s age of Air Jordans and Nike Basketball, Wayne prefers low-key Vans skaters and Chucks or flamboyant Jeremy Scott creations. The last time we caught Lil’ Wayne in the Air Jordan XI was over a year ago, when he performed alongside Eminem and Drake at the 2010 Grammy Awards, and we couldn’t pass up the chance to show the New Orleans native wearing the 2011 Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’ while he was attending last week’s Chris Brown concert. Check out Lil’ Wayne in the Concords below and stick with Sneaker News for more ‘Concord’ sightings as we approach the official release date in late December.

Celebrities gathered over the weekend in Los Angeles to celebrate the highly anticipated release of Lil’ Wayne’s fourth studio album titled ‘Tha Carter IV’. Attending the event were some of the most notable names in the hip-hop and pop-culture scene, like Rick Ross, Drake, DJ Khaled, Tyga, Ronnie from Jersey Shoe, and many more. Air Jordans and sneakers have been considered ‘proper attire’ for events like these for quite a while, which is why we spotted some great kicks during the get-together, like the Air Jordan XI Cool Grey, the Air Jordan VI ‘Infrared’ and the Nike Dunk High ‘Osaka’. The Dunks were worn by Ronnie, who displayed an impressive rotation of sneakers during filming of Jersey Shore; the Dunk High ‘Osaka’ which dropped back in 2008, is quite rare in the states, and Flight Club could very well be where Ronnie picked ‘em up because a size 10 just got snatched up from there just two weeks ago. Check out the celebs from Lil’ Wayne’s album release party below and let us know what you think!

The Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals collection is bit of an ‘acquired taste’ of footwear, and if someone in the hip-hop game is going to rock these wearable pieces of flamboyant art, it’ll be none other than Lil’ Wayne (this isn’t his first bear-related sneaker sighting either). He was part of 2nd Annual OVO Festival in Toronto, which included an impressive line-up of hip-hop artists like Drake, Rick Ross, J. Cole, Nas, and more. Even though the Jeremy Scott Collection always seems to cause stirring debate, some props are due to Lil’ Wayne, who keeps his footwear rotation unique compared to a sea of Air Jordan-rocking celebs. Check out Lil’ Wayne and the Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals ‘Panda’ after the jump and let us know what you think of this latest celebrity sighting. via allthings-fresh.

The New Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ was filled to the brim with today’s hottest and most relevant hip-hop celebrities, who performed at the annual HOT 97 concert event. All the headlining names brought out some sick heat, like Wale’s Nike Air Foamposite Pro ‘Retro’ and Nike Air Max LeBron VII ‘HWC’ PE, Fabolous’ Air Jordan III ‘Flip’, Wiz Khalifa’s Air Jordan VI Infrared, and many, many more. Swizz Beatz showed up wearing a new White/Red/Black colorway of his Reebok Kamikaze, but it was also interesting to note that Rick Ross, who has been consistent with his Nike/Jordan game, wore a pair of the Kamikazes as well. There were plenty of other great sneaker sightings, like the Air Jordan IV ‘Laser’ and ‘Cool Grey’, the Air Jordan III ‘True Blue’, and Air Jordan 1 ‘BMP’, so take a nice look at all the celebs from the HOT 97 Summer Jam 2011 and let us know who rocked the best kicks!

Lil’ Wayne, who earlier this January stated that he felt ‘snubbed’ by Miami Heat superstars LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, sat courtside during Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals between the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat. The ‘snubbing’ might’ve been justified, as Lil’ Wayne was rooting for the Heat opponent during that January game (the New Orleans Hornets), and it appears that fences still aren’t mended because the formerly incarcerated hip-hop star was seen wearing a Los Angeles Lakers cap. The rest of Lil’ Wayne’s outfit caught our attention as well, as he matched a grey/pink Billionaire Boys Club t-shirt and digi-camo shorts with a pair of the Nike SB Dunk Mid ‘Mama Bear’ – the middle pair of the Nike SB Dunk ‘Three Bears Pack’. Check out Lil’ Wayne and his companion after the jump and let us know what you think of Wayne’s outfit. via Yahoo!.
