The new Nike LeBron X “Killer Elite” pair of custom sneakers from the always on point Mache is one that walks the line between flashy and stealthy. In regular lighting the sneaker is a gun metal grey, upgraded with just a little bit of red here and there presumably for the purpose of bringing it closer to Bron’s Heat wardrobe. Hit it with a flash though and the sneaker comes alive thanks to the thorough 3M treatment across the upper. Nike LeBron X “Pediatric Stroke Awareness” Customs by Mache – Charity Auction

Mache Customs has been a dominant force in the sneaker customs scene, but this time around, he extends a generous hand for a great cause – one that has had a direct effect on his personal life. In an effort to raise awareness of Pediatric Stroke Awareness month (in May), he created this incredible Nike LeBron X custom, using a silver Nike iD base and laced with deep purple ribbon graphics and the “Kandu” mascot – the official mascot for Pediatric Stroke survivors. Additional details include some personal messages, with “I Believe In A Pediatric Stroke Survivor” and “I Believe in JJ” proudly displayed on the inner sides of the ankle collars; Jayden, or “JJ”, is Mache’s son (now three years old) who suffered a pediatric stroke at birth. Mache Customs’ latest NBA client is none other than Chicago Bulls guard Nate Robinson, who has provided a serious spark for the Chi-Town Bulls in place of the injured Derrick Rose, and as the Bulls approach the Playoffs without their star guard, Nate Robinson will rotate these remixed Bulls colorways on the Air Jordan VI, XIII, and XI. Mache Customs has been busy with his superstar clientele lately as he reveals to us another new custom done personally for Dwyane Wade. This particular pair is a special “Tribute” edition, which features Wade’s notable career achievements on the upper – his Championship Rings, the Marquette logo, the 16,000 point milestone and more. Beneath those visuals is a wild confetti-like print on a teal green/orange gradient-like colorway. Nike KD V “Surf Style” Customs by Mache

The sudden surge of colorful Nike KD V colorways in Easter and Elite forms have propelled the fifth sig shoe back up the ranks, but leave it to a pair of customs to really get your attention if you’ve got a thing for bright colors. Mache Customs‘ first publicized KD V customs is done up in “Surf Style” fashion, deriving the colorway from the classic surf gear anorak pullover jackets from back in the day with the rainbow color-effect from the Surf Style logo adapted onto the upper. Finished off with glowing soles, speckled mid-soles, and the Surf Style logos on the upper, this latest Mache custom certainly does some magic for the KD V, doesn’t it?
