Coinciding with today’s release of Yeezus, the “Red October” Air Yeezy 2 is here. Let’s clarify: the custom remix done by the likes of Mache, applying the all over red look to a retail pair of the Nike Air Yeezy 2, is here. Of course the materials on the forthcoming red colorway look to be switched around just a bit, so Mache’s appropriation is a little bit off, but that’s just nitpicking on an otherwise incredible job. Mache is a man that seems mostly inclined to work with new age Nike Basketball stuff, specifically LeBron silhouettes, when it comes to his custom creations. That’s not to say he’s not capable of a mean pair of Jordans as well. Proving that is this sublime Air Jordan XI treatment, one labeled as the “Reverse DMP” thanks to its white and gold sections. Keep in mind that the base here was the Air Jordan XI “Silver Anniversary”, which explains the lack of a Jumpman for the back end. You have to really trust someone to let them do custom work on a sneaker so prized as the Nike Mag 2011. Granted, if anyone has earned that sort of trust it’s Mache, an artist whose rolodex includes the likes of LeBron James and rapper The Game. Pictured is his “Ironman” looking take on the Marty McFly pair, which plants a body armor looking graphic onto their soft, foamy upper and injects plenty of red and gold as far as colors are concerned. Flip through the extra angles lined up after the jump and give us a heads up if you could ever imagine getting a sneaker so rare as the Nike Mag 2011 customized for yourself.

LeBron James has finally gone and laced up that custom pair of the Nike Lebron X that Mache made for him. You’ll recall that Heat teammate Dwyane Wade already took his Mache joints to the NBA court, but for whatever reason we haven’t seen King James go that far quite yet. Will he wear the Nike LeBron X “Ironman 3″ looking pair in the forthcoming NBA Finals series? The Nike LeBron line has been Mache‘s calling card as of late but don’t get it twisted-the man still has what it takes to tackle any sneaker on the market with his custom approach. The latest piece of proof for that claim comes in the form of the Air Jordan VI here, a “Cobra Commander” version paying homage to GI Joe’s nemesis. The base colorway is that of the Air Jordan VI “Olympic”, whose patriotic tones get washed over with a blue snakeskin effect and some Cobra Commander graphics. We’re pretty certain Oregon Nights can’t hold a candle to Miami Nights, that is unless you prefer free-range food and bleak rain adfinitum to a tropical atmosphere filled with endless hedonistic delights. Mache’s version of the Oregon Nights does manage to measure up though, as the custom king ports that speckled look from the Nike LeBron line over onto a Nike Air Foamposite One pair. The result is a volt and chrome banger that manages the Oregon theme without coming off as entirely too Ducky. If you can’t grab that coveted release that’s been bothering you for the longest, why not just make your own? If you’re as talented as the man Mache you can pull that off, which is exactly what he did for the new Nike LeBron X “Stewie” customs. The pair picks up the colorful palette from Nike LeBron VI “Stewie”, a sneaker that never made its way to the public. This version not only uses a colorway inspired by the outfit of that Family Guy character, it also plants his likeness on the back end. Has anyone received their Air Jordan “XX8 Days of Flight” pairs from that epic Instagram contest just yet? It looks like Mache got sick of wondering whether or not he won and decided to whip up his own version of the sneaker. The transition appears to be a pretty easy one, as the Air Jordan III ‘Joker’ gets dipped in a deeper level of blacks to link up with that series of Air Jordan one-offs.
