The San Francisco 49ers fell short in the Playoffs again, but if the last two seasons are any indication, the 49ers are poised to take the next step up – a Superbowl Trophy. With Anquan Boldin lining up with the Niners, Michael Crabtree will definitely have more opportunity to make some big plays like he did against the Packers when he wore this insane PE version of the Air Jordan XX8. The red and white is expected, but the hints of neon green on the spikes of the cleats is a visual touch that only Nike seems to get right time after time. This sample is a size 9, so for those looking to gear up in advance for football season later this year, cop now from never_wear_these on eBay.

Didn’t anyone tell them that they were a couple days late for the Air Jordan V day from the XX8 Days of Flight series? Hit the jump for the full photo and stay tuned should Michael Crabtree hit the Super Bowl next Sunday with even more special footwear.

This is what we’ve all been waiting for – an awesome display of on-field footwear for the league’s best. Last week, Jordan Brand unveiled a jaw-dropping collection of Air Jordan IX on-field Player Exclusives for its athletes, and if you paid any attention to the games that went down, you would’ve seen guys like Hakeem Nicks, Josh Freeman, Andre Johnson, Michael Crabtree, and more wearing the AJ9s. It’s perfectly fitting for the Air Jordan IX to be the ‘cleat’ version because Michael Jordan himself wore a similar kind when he played baseball for the White Sox farm system, but did these NFLers rock them better? Check out the gallery below and let us know.
