Michael Jordan Series By A BB

Michael Jordan’s been the muse to many basketball-crazed artists over the years, but we’ve never seen one so detailed and distinctively done like artist A-BB‘s Michael Jordan Series. What makes this collection of brushstrokes even more mind-blowing is that it was his first time painting Michael Jordan, but from what we’ve seen here, it’s clear he does his artwork while sticking his tongue out. A-BB captured some of the most iconic photos of Michael’s history, paying attention to every detail from the shoes, the jerseys, the muscle-tone, down to the beads of sweat. You can buy prints of this amazing artwork here, so check out the gallery of A-BB’s sick Michael Jordan artwork below, because you definitely don’t want to miss this!

Michael Jordan Gets Engaged

Michael Jordan is all about the winning spirit; Six championships, numerous MVPs and scoring accolades, and Olympic Gold Medal make up quite a collection of accomplishments, but for MJ, all of those pale in comparison to his latest trophy – Yvette Prieto. It has been reported by media outlets that Michael Jordan is now engaged to Prieto, the Cuban-born model that Michael had been dating for three years. Michael’s last marriage to his first wife Juanita ended with one of the largest divorce settlements in history, but he’s rebounded rather nicely with Yvette – the future Mrs. Jordan. Now what would Jordan wear to his wedding? He’s got a ton to choose from, but there’s no doubt a pair of Air Jordan XI Concords would be proper. Let us know what you think about Michael’s latest personal move and if you haven’t copped your own Concords yet, snag one now on eBay.

Air Jordan 2010 Autographed Pair For Ronald McDonald House Charity Auction

In late October, Sneaker News showed you a rare piece of Air Jordan memorabilia – an Air Jordan 2010 autographed by Michael Jordan and the legendary footwear architect Tinker Hatfield. It’s extremely rare to see an Air Jordan signed by both icons of footwear history, but MJ and Tinker came together (with MJ donating the sneakers from his own collection) to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oregon. In fact, this particular pair is the only Air Jordan in existence with both signatures, and Tinker himself has provided a letter of authenticity to prove that what you’re bidding on is truly a piece of history (and all for a great cause!). The auction is now live and will run until this Friday, December 9th, at 11:45 AM, so check out the extra shots below and head to MWCAuction to bid now.

Michael Jordan Reveals His Favorite Chicago Bulls Team

“72 wins; tough to beat that. What? You think there’s someone better? Prove it.”

Imagine you’re on an NBA court and Michael Jordan looks into your eyes while challenging you to prove his teams aren’t the greatest of all time. Some of the league’s greatest stars couldn’t do it during their primes, so what makes you think you’ll be the one able to conquer a team like the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls? You’ll have a chance to command Mike’s and other classic teams in the upcoming NBA 2K12 that sees its vintage roster expanded on the strength of last year’s Jordan Challenge mode. IGN has already rated 2KSports’ latest effort a 9.5 out of 10, good enough to rank as one of the top 10 PS3 games and tied with both 2K11 and this year’s FIFA soccer title as the highest-rated sports game of this generation. Will you pick up a copy when NBA 2K12 launches on Tuesday, October 4th? Click through to see MJ’s challenge and let us know which is your all-time favorite NBA squad.

Michael Jordans Six Rings Golf Bag

Michael Jordan’s passions outside of the game of the basketball are reflected in each and every Air Jordan design. For example, the Air Jordan XVII was designed after Michael’s passion for jazz music, as seen on the musical notes used to inspire the design on the upper, and golf, which can be seen on the outsole traction of the sneaker, which mirrors a golf course. Golf has been one of Michael’s favorite recreational hobbies after he officially retired from the NBA, and he certainly goes through holes one through eighteen in style, with this custom Air Jordan golf bag that features his six NBA Championships rings stitched proudly on the side. We also have a look at another custom golf bag, which features Air Jordans all around. Definitely one of the cooler bits of Air Jordan goodies, so take a look below and let us know what you think. via TerezOwens.

Air Jordan XI vs. Air Jordan XIII Sole Comparison

These days, Air Jordans are prized for their visual appeal and their performance aspects. But be reminded that the Air Jordan sneaker is first and foremost a performance sneaker, as Tinker Hatfield’s process in designing sneakers begins with creating a shoe around the human foot. Air Jordan comfort took an interesting turn when Zoom Air cushioning was first introduced to the Air Jordan legacy via the Air Jordan XII, and here we have a look at the two Air Jordans that bookend the Air Jordan XII and it’s full-length Zoom; the Air Jordan XI was supported by full-length Air embedded into the midsole, while the Air Jordan XIII utilized a combination of Zoom Air compartmentalized on the heel and forefoot – a set-up used on Hyperdunk 2011. So which type of cushioning bodes better for on-court performance? Well, Michael took the Bulls to 72 wins, won his fourth NBA title, and took home the MVP trifecta (All-Star, Finals, and League) while wearing the Air Jordan XI. In the air Jordan XIII, he also won a title and the trio of MVPs, scored more during the Playoffs, but won 10 fewer regular season games. A strong case can be made for either season, but check out the detailed juxtaposition of the Air Jordan XI and Air Jordan XIII soles below and let us know which season – ’95-’96 or ’97-’98 – was better! via hoopchina.
