Take a look at Kobe’s stat line while you can, because it might be the only time in his career you see him averaging under 20 points per game. After coming back in the Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Prelude against the Toronto Raptors, Vino returned home to Staples Center against the Suns last night and slammed home his first dunk after the achilles injury while wearing a special Nike Kobe 8 PP exclusive recently given an up close in our Kobe PEs for a Lost Season Select Feature. And while it didn’t result in a win, Kobe did reach the twenty point mark on only 11 shots in 20 minutes to continue to close the gap in becoming the NBA’s all time leading scorer (he’s currently 800 points shy of MJ to be third on the list). Stay with us after the click to get a full view of the Black Mamba’s footwear selection and let us know what you think in the comments.

The NBA season continues to push full-steam ahead with a little disproportion in the standings – only two teams in the East have winning records vs. a total of 9 in the West – but that doesn’t mean there’s any advantage in which Conference is lacing up the best sneakers. The Knicks finally got back on track thanks to Carmelo Anthony’s double-double in a Retro of his classic Jordan Melo 1.5 in a Knicks scheme that should have people running to stand in line if they ever decided to his retail shelves. Meanwhile, the Suns are stating their case as one of the most sneaker savvy teams with their roster lacing up the likes of a Nike Air Foamposite One “Suns” and a LeBron 11 “Terracotta Warrior” sighting. If there were any dangers of falling into a midweek slump for some NBA teams, the latest batch of sneaker selections definitely didn’t show it. Michael Beasley continues to play some of his best ball in a pair of Air Jordans, this time ditching a Retro model for the new Jordan Super.Fly 2 in a loss to the upstart Pistons. Elsewhere around the league, the Thunder barely edged out the Kings behind two new PEs for superstars Kevin Durant (in a metallic silver and navy Nike KD VI) and Russell Westbrook who kept things simple in an Air Jordan XX8 SE PE.
