The NBA sneaker scene is no longer a realm run by sig-shoe stars like LeBron and Kobe, but by the true hobbyists detailed in our recent NBA Feet Mid-season All-Stars. A good number of them showed off some great shoes over the last two nights, starting with Monta Ellis and the Air Jordan IX ‘Charcoal’, Nate Robinson and the Air Jordan XII ‘Taxi’, Derrick Williams in the Air Jordan XIV ‘UNC’, and Rudy Guy in the Air Jordan V and Air Jordan XI. The top sighting of the last two nights has to go to PJ Tucker, who kept it ‘Home’ by wearing the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Suns’. An impressive NBA Feet is just below so browse through and let us know who impressed you the most.

Now that we’re in the second half of the NBA Season, will some new names emerge as potential candidates for the All-NBA Feet team at the end of the year? The usual names did make the headlines, with Rudy Gay, Nate Robinson, Nick Young, and Derrick Williams wearing some great Air Jordan Retros, and the PE category was certainly strong as LeBron, KD, Kobe, Wade, and Dwight Howard rocked some special edition colorways. Other notables includes Courtney Lee’s Nike Air Max 2Strong, Jeff Adrien’s Nike LeBron X ‘BHM’, and Steph Curry’s Hyperfuse 2012 PE. A full NBA Feet recap is just below so let’s see what was worn around the league!

In comparison to last year’s lackluster Air Jordan 2012, the Air Jordan XX8 has exploded out of the gate – with much of the credit going to OKC Thunder star Russell Westbrook. As the “chosen one” to carry on the torch of the Air Jordan legacy, Westbrook has elevated his game to new heights while keeping us interested with his sporadic Air Jordan XX8 on-feet sightings. Now that the cat’s out of the bag, should we expect to see Mr. Why Not? wear the XX8 on a nightly basis? That could be the case, as we saw him wear the Air Jordan XX8 in a ‘Black/Orange’ PE during last night’s match-up against the Houston Rockets (he didn’t have much traveling to do). These are indeed slightly different from the pair we should you last night as the upper shroud is a tonal black rather than a carbon-fiber seen in the pair last night. We’ve got a detailed gallery below so take a look and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more NBA Feet sightings!

A huge draw of the All-Star Weekend is the Saturday Night shindig of the Dunk Contest, Three-Point Shootout, Skills Challenge, and more. This year, the NBA put a spin on the competition by introducing the first-ever East vs. West arrangement in which each event on Saturday night resulted in a bulk of points that would give the winning conference a whopping $500,000 in donations to a charity of their choice. Some of the major highlights of the night included Dominique Wilkins hitting two half-court shots, Gerald Green cutting down the nets, Kyrie Irving going for 23 points in the final round of the shoot-out, and rookie Damian Lillard taking home the Skills Challenge crown. The night’s marquee event featured a number of rising stars and internet dunk celebrities as James ‘Flight’ White opened up the Dunk Contest with an entertaining arrangement of flight attendants, but it was Terrence Ross of the Toronto Raptors, who spent the night in the Nike Barkley Posite Max ‘Area 72′, who took home the night’s best prize. All of Saturday night’s All-Star Events are below so check it out!
