When the ‘Steel Blue’ OG colorway returned last April, a new wave of New Balance 1300 fans were born.  The style has been so popular over the last year-plus that we’ve seen a variety of new designs and even that original style applied to the 999, and now we get another new pair in a palette you’d be hard pressed to beat in terms of reflecting the NB heritage.  This new NB1300 was ‘Made in USA’ with navy suede atop grey mesh plus crimson branding and a black outsole, and if recent releases are any indication, you’ll need to act fast to get one of the pairs currently available at Bows & Arrows.

The New Balance 1300 has enjoyed a strong start to 2012, standout models like the beloved ‘Steel Blue’ original and the recent ‘Denim Blue’ foreshadowing great things to come from the second half of the year.  These new photos from Pitti 82 in Florence suggest that momentum will continue into next year, as a red-midsoled pair quite similar to another grey/navy edition we previewed as a FA12 drop joins a dope tonal clay edition whose yellow accents and burgundy branding have these feeling warm and cozy even if they are quite a ways off in the distance.  Check out both in greater detail below and stick with Sneaker News for updates on US availability.  Photos: Street Supply

The New Balance classic lineup is operating at the peak of its powers with a huge selection of different models and colorways to satisfy the fans of these old school styles.  This month brings along four pairs spread across three models that, around this time last year, weren’t playing as big a role in the NB catalog.  Increased variety as demonstrated on two New Balalance 420s in tonal suede/nylon blends as well as the ‘Denim Blue’ takes on the 998 and 1300 mean that sneakerheads who gravitate toward that vintage style will be thrilled the next time they arrive at a NB retailer like Kith in New York.

New Balance has put together several themed packs in 2012, and though their latest shares a color scheme and naming convention with a similar pair of 998s, these New Balance M1300s come to market without any storylines aside from how good they look.  This ‘Denim Blue’ 1300 takes cues from the 998s by that same name, but thanks to a greater emphasis on grey on this pair, the denim-derived palette is pushed toward today’s pale washes rather than a classic raw indigo.  Check them out in greater detail below, let us know which is the better ‘Denim Blue’ New Balance Classic and grab the 1300DBs from Corporate.

New Balance are the undisputed champions of navy blue and/or grey suede and mesh old school runners.  There are larger companies in existence, and yet none of them can match NB’s passion for neutral classics that’s reflected with a catalog that included no fewer than four different grey 574s for the spring season.  Here comes another one in a color combo that’s been considered among the ‘cool’-est since Christmas 2010′s Air Jordan XI Retro release, the New Balance 1300 in a tonal charcoal getup that has the same absolutely timeless quality as all the other grey New Bals.  Check these out up close after the jump and look for these soon at select retailers like CrookedTongues.
