Norse Projects has delivered on their promise of a couple New Balance 1500 styles. As previously mentioned, the colorways across the two pairs are tied up in the weather of of their native Denmark, one of them outfitted in a steely set of greys and blues to commemorate the rainy days and the other going burnt tan presumably as a marker of summer. The pairs are set to arrive at Norse Projects tomorrow, August 9th, but there is talk of a limited number of them trickling out to worldwide retailers as well. Get up close and personal with the two Norse Projects x New Balance 1500 pairs after the jump and tell us in the comments if you’ll be trying to grab either.

The latest entity to get in bed with new Balance on a project is Scandinavia’s own Norse Projects. They seem to have locked down a couple of New Balance 1500 silhouettes as part of their “Danish Weather Pack”, which we can only assume will pay homage to the climate out in Denmark with its duo of Flimby factory pairs. They’re looking to launch them this Friday, August 9th, a surprisingly close date given how few angles have been offered up to date. Continue reading for more on the Norse Projects x New Balance “Danish Weather Pack”, one which looks to be super limited, and check back in on Sneaker News to find out which other retailers will be stocking them.

propaganda pack new balance 1500 New Balance 1500 Propaganda Pack Unreleased Sample

It seems that the New Balance “Propaganda Pack” was nearly a little bit bigger of a set. On top of the New Balance 999, MT580, and 1600 that already released in the retail range was this, a New Balance 1500 sporting a similar black and red combination. According to owner of the samples Frank the Butcher, a man who knows a thing or two about NBs, the pair remains a one off at this point and won’t ever be coming to retail. Do you think the crop would be better suited with this New Balance 1500 in its midst? Tell us in the comments and stay tuned for all the New Balance news that’s fit to print.

The New Balance 1500 was one of NB’s more expressive models during the mid-’00s, but they’ve been mostly restrained over the past few years.  Here’s a new set that shows the brand is ready for a bit more energy without going completely insane on this Flimby favorite, as the 1500 shows off four upcoming colorways slated for the first quarter of next year.  Along with the styles previewed to release later this year, the NB1500 has some serious heat coming out of the UK factory, so stick with Sneaker News for release info on everything that matters.

Alright so this New Balance 1500 colorway isn’t of the Elite Edition persuasion, which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending how you look at it. If you’re a fan of the Flimby factory shape then it’s a good thing, as this pair was indeed made in the UK. Showing up on the sneaker here is this most basic of colorways, the kind of muted staple that you’d want to have in your rotation season after season. If you were feeling Flimby’s output on the New Balance 1500 for spring, you’re going to love these two new colorways coming up for July.  Following up on the grey and tan ‘Made in England’ editions come these new pairs in black and cobalt blue.  They should probably go ahead and issue the entire rainbow a few colors at a time, but it looks like the duo that will follow is equally brilliant in a different configuration.  Compare and contrast them after the jump, then pre-order yours starting June 1st from Hanon.

new balance 1500 custom re shaping New Balance 1500 Custom Re Shaping

For whatever reason, the overall shapes of your favorite retro silhouettes often end up different from the OG releases. Recent New Balance 1500 issues have been a bit round in the toes for those that have followed the brand for a while, despite keeping things at home with the Flimby production. Anyways, if you’re not feeling that shape and you want something more in tune with the flat-footed look then check this quick re-shaping custom. All that it took was ripping open the toe box and doing a little bit of surgery and you’ve got a much more original looking New Balance 1500 silhouette. See the transformation below and let us know if you prefer the “after” to the “before” here.
