New Balance has issued three significant camouflage sneakers over the past half-year or so. Two of them have been applied to this same silhouette, and now that number doubles with another duo adding a subtler application. The New Balance 574 “Camo Pack” gives us a couple of muted nubuck color schemes anchored by the inner lining and its earthy camouflage pattern. These appear slated for a June release, and with the success of Ball and Buck and Fingercroxx’ recent collabs, the demand for camo New Bals is at an all-time high. The vastly underrated New Balance Custom 574 process gets some nice attention today as we get a look at a sick colorway put together in ‘Viotech’ form. Of course, this familiar package of brown, tan, purple, and gold is taken from atmos’ masterful Air Max 1 from over a decade ago, with one NB fan applying those colors onto the impressively versatile New Balance Custom 574 (think of it like iD with a lot more color options). The New Balance 574 “Windbreaker Pack” is looking more and more like the early 2013 answer to last fall/winter’s ‘Backpack’ set with each passing day. Here’s another ladies colorway decked out in vibrant ripstop nylon approximating jogging gear, an electric blue look that adds neon and black accents to complete its high-contrast balancing act. As was the case with FW12′s 574BPs, get ready for a steady stream of 574WBs. The New Balance 574 ‘Windbreaker Pack’ follows up on last year’s double-digit Backpack output, bringing forth its fifth colorway and the first made for ladies. The WL574WBP is labeled as such for its purple nylon upper but could just as easily stand for ‘Phoenix’, as in the Suns who rock a similar color scheme. More and more of the best Japanese New Balance collaborations are making their way into US sneaker closets by way of select stateside retailers. The latest import is a superb suede and mesh pairing that released on the other side of the world just before the end of 2012, the Oshman’s x mita sneakers x New Balance 574 ‘Mojito’. This mint green-dominant design features a leaf ‘dubrae’ in honor of the muddled cocktail from which it takes its name and colors, but one might argue that it’s the unorthodox mix with brown at the heel and a gum sole that really makes this design. Have a closer look below and get ready to hit up the usual suspects, because these have arrived in America and should see further spot releases in the immediate future.
