2012′s biggest sneaker anniversaries have undoubtedly been the Dream Team’s 20th and the Air Force 1′s 30th, but let’s not forget about another three decade veteran just because it’s an entire factory and not just one shoe. New Balance has been manufacturing top-notch running shoes in Cumbria, England for thirty years now, and that Flimby Factory gets its due with a trio of veterans creating their own special colorways. The New Balance M576 pictured above was authored by Andy Mandle in commemoration of 30 years of Flimby, but you’ll have far less time to grab a pair with only limited sizes still available at SNS.

Sneaker News just showed you that cutting room craftsman Andy Mandle’s design has arrived at retail, and now we see the second of three Flimby 30th anniversary designs available for a fellow employee ten years his senior. Roy Bell sees Mandle’s twelve years at Flimby and raises him another decade, which means this New Balance M576 with his name on the inner tongue has nearly as much experience behind it as this time-tested model itself. It’s classic New Bal with plenty of grey and navy blue, tons of suede and a visually apparent quality that’s the true star of this trio. Have a closer look below, then find your 1982-2012 commemorative NB576s at SNS.

There a couple of groups within New Balance’s wide range of lifestyle offerings that are particularly proud of their heritage, silhouettes bearing the Made in USA or Made in the UK marking. For those that do the latter Flimby is the homebase, a spot which we’ve seen paid tribute to plenty of times before with special New Balance releases. This time around the sneaker in question isn’t a release per se but rather a specially crafted pair to celebrate NB’s 30 years of British production, the pair being a gift to New Balance owner and chairman Jim Davis. Click through with us for all the angles on this awesome 30th anniversary pair of the New Balance 576 and let us know in the comments what your favorite Flimby model is.

The word ‘derby’ has quite a few different meanings, but just about all of them trace their roots back to the town of Derbyshire, England. That’s where the 12th Earl kicked off the first horse races at Epsom Downs in 1780, as well as the birthplace of the basis of the iconic blucher. Somewhere between horse racing and footwear design is this New Balance 576 ’Derby Pack’, a trio representing ‘Fighter’, ‘Legend’ and ‘Ladies’ characters and their connections to thoroughbred racing. Let us know which jockey’s design looks best once you’ve seen them all below and stick with Sneaker News for release info on this (presumably ‘Made in England’) spring 2013 trio. via EUkicks
