Here’s the third New Balance 670 sighting this season. They’re similar to both earlier releases in emphasizing classic suede and mesh in muted colorways and particularly close to the navy/red edition that’s also right in the NB wheelhouse. This is perhaps the look most strongly associated with the brand (and definitely its heritage models), the grey/navy combo that’s Made in the UK at the Flimby Factory and depicted in more images after the jump. Conspicuously absent during the recent surge in New Balance popularity that blessed the sneakerhead set with some of the past couple years’ best collaborations, a popular mid-’00s canvas continues its return with another new colorway. The New Balance 670 is tagged depicted above is tagged with the ‘SNR’ suffix for its navy and red build (the ‘S’ connecting them to the other two pairs set to debut this spring). It’s a familiar color combo in the classic suede and mesh, but a one-piece treatment on what would typically be layered ‘N’ branding gives these a fresh feel. The first one to make its way to retail is classic understated NB with just a bit of ‘pop’, as a charcoal suede and mesh base gives way to bright orange branding elements.
