The New Balance Numeric line will serve to extend NB’s sneaker reach into the skateboarding world with a group of slimmed down models that manage to maintain a little bit of the company’s trainer DNA. The models that we’ve got a look at here are split down the middle as far as the tech on bottom goes, with two cupsole pairs (the New Balance Logan 637 and the New Balance Stratford 479) and two vulcanized pairs (the New Balance Brighton 344 and the New Balance Quincy 254). NB# will be distributed by the same company that brought us Jamie Thomas’ Fallen, Mystery and Zero labels, featuring creative direction by Westlife of 686 and Matix fame. It’s worth noting that despite the similar sounding name, NB# has no direct connection to the classic clothing brand Alphanumeric, but expect New Bal’s dedication to performance to gain traction with the kick-push crowd and stick with Sneaker News to see just how Black Box and Westlife do it.
