Ever since the Nike Mag actually materialized a couple of years back people have been going crazy with the light up sneakers. Brian Villaneuva is one of those people, as the customizer has had plenty of LED-laden hits to date. His latest is a remix of the Nike 6.0 Mogan 2 Mid for one Mikey Millions of the DJ group Caligula (Which explains the name of that Roman emperor showing up up across the straps). Along with all of the lights, the shoes also have a real deal python Swoosh proving that Mr. Villaneuva is no one-trick pony. It’s not exactly a trend in the truest sense of the word, but the last year-plus of Sneaker News regarding Nike 6.0 footwear indeed proves that there’s a marked upward swing in the Swoosh’s action sports brand’s quality. Nike Six might never overtake its big brother SB in terms of street cred or collectability, but the use of LunarLon footbeds on the new Nike 6.0 Braata LR and Zoom LeShot LR allow for the same kind of extra-cushioned vulcanized soles that improve feel and comfort.
