About one month ago, Sneaker News showed you the ‘Persian Violet’ colorway of the Nike Air Classic BW Gen II as readied for a January release. Those are now right around the corner, and following them will be another rendition of the OG 1992 colorblocking. This one swaps out the signature purple shade for the Light Crimson red that’s one of the key colors for the spring season. This combined with that Free-like forefoot makes for a nice update to an established favorite, and you can pre-order yours so they arrive at your door in February courtesy of End.

Nike Air BW Gen II “Persian Violet”

December 5th, 2013 by | No comments

nike air bw gen ii persian violet Nike Air BW Gen II Persian Violet

The Big Window stands alone in a unique position within the Nike Sportswear classic running lineup. It’s got a European stronghold like the Air Max Light but has appeared far less frequently of late, now that the 180′s name has been altered, it’s the only one without ‘Max’ in its name, and it’s the only one with a second generation as defined by a tech update. The Nike Air Classic BW Gen II brings us the natural motion-toed update to the original BW that first appeared back in 2010 as the showcase for the Torch mesh that was quickly depreciated by Hyperfuse. This new BW Gen II has more of a traditional mesh so it’s just the sole that separates it from the original ‘Persian Violet’ colorway, which will also be hitting NSW retailers shortly after the turn of the year. For these, you can see some more photos below right now, and pre-orders are available so you’ll have them promptly in January from End.

Nike Air Classic BW OG – 2014 Preview

November 29th, 2013 by | No comments

nike bw gen ii og pack 2014 6 Nike Air Classic BW OG 2014 Preview

It’s Jordan Brand and not Nike Sportswear that’s known for 23rd anniversary releases, but coming up for 2014, NSW’s ‘Big Window’ runner looks to be getting a special treatment. The Nike Air Classic BW will return next year after a fairly restrained schedule this year that included OG and EM takes on the original 1991 ‘Persian Violet’ colorway. Look for that color scheme once more in the vintage and Gen II formats, as well as the same template with Light Crimson in place of purple on the Gen II. All of these pairs are depicted further below, and Sneaker News will keep you posted on when they’re dropping.

Nike Air BW Gen II ‘FFF’ – Grey – White – Ice

May 26th, 2011 by | 9 comments

nike air bw gen ii gridiron fff pack summary Nike Air BW Gen II FFF Grey White Ice

We just got a look at the third Air Max 90 ‘CBF’, but that doesn’t mean the Brazilians have the edge over the French.  Just two days after Sneaker News showed you images of two classic runners done as part of the same collaboration, here’s a brand new Nike Air BW Gen II created with the French Football Federation in mind.  These new BW Gen IIs aren’t Tricolored like the FFF retro runners we saw Tuesday, but instead opt for the tonal grey look that seems to be among the most popular in the sneaker world these days.  A translucent sole reveals a soccer ball geometric on the bottom and you can see this and more details when you click on the jump below.  Let us know what you think and if you want to grab your own ‘FFF’ Air BW Gen IIs, check with select Nike Sportswear retailers like Shelta.
