Sorted by alphabetical order, the Nike Air Classic BW is second in the current list of Sneaker News categories. It tends to be more of a European flavor with that side of the Atlantic favoring runners over basketball sneakers, but here’s a colorway that’s bound to be at the top of any serious sneakerhead’s historical rankings. The Air Classic BW OG brings 1991′s original ‘Persian Violet’ look back once again, this time with the slightest vintage treatment on a off-white-er than usual Sail midsole. The other OGs were quick sellers so if this is one of your go-to looks, you’ll need to be swift at Nike Sportswear stockists like Oneness.

One might think from looking at the name of the Nike Air Classic BW Essential TXT that they’re crafted with textile uppers. The last pair we showed you was a classic suede and mesh build like you might expect from the Big Window and its 1991 classmates, and here’s a new take on that build with a little nod to the past. This latest Air Classic BW reads like a Hyper Blue answer to the OG Persian Violet colorway, but lightens up the look with white coming in atop a grey wraparound band. Give us your opinion after you’ve seen more below, and stick with Sneaker News as we approach an April launch.

We already know the Air Classic BW is coming back in the original Persian Violet colorway, but that’s only to make way for a slew of new colorways in Essential TXT form. The BW (or the Big Window), seen here in three new color-combos, is one of those underrated and forgotten Air Max silhouettes of the early 90′s falling between the Air Max 90 and Air 180, but it definitely holds that ‘cult’ status simply on the strength of that amazing Stash collaboration nearly a decade ago. Peep the three upcoming colorways below and keep it locked in on Sneaker News for more Air Max updates.
