Nike Air Flight 89
The Nike Air Flight ’89 is a performance basketball model that, consistent with its name, first debuted in 1989. Given that they share a release year and that Jordan Brand wasn’t as detached from the main Nike office as it may be now, the Air Flight 89 and Jordan 4 are frequently cited as sister models. Even to the untrained eye, they share a ton of the same technology and aesthetic principles in their design, with the hole-filled eye stays and nearly identical sole units among the dead giveaways. Returning to shelves in 2022, the new run for the model through 2024 has seen them equally venture towards brand new editions and dip into the canon of Jordan Brand past. Below you’ll find our latest coverage of the Nike Air Flight ’89, including release dates, new colorways and official images.
