If you’re on that Nike retro flow, then look no further than…what else? The Nike Air Flow. The earlier Tier Zero releases of the OG colorways were an absolute hit and even the Lunar-version of the original did quite well, but if you’ve been looking for more of the original model, Summer 2012 will feature two new color-ups of the Bruce Kilgore-designed running shoe. A white/teal/royal and a grey/red/purple with a Mexican blanket-like print will be available beginning in next April with a $130 price-tag. More individual shots of these true-to-the-OG re-issues are below, so take a look and let us know what you think. via CK.

The Nike Air Flow has enjoyed its first series of releases in what feels like forever this year, two Tier Zero two-packs and a Lunar-n-Fuse update adding more cause for celebration. So should we expect Nike Sportswear to issue new Air Flow colorways on the same frequency as models like the Air Max classic runners? That remains to be seem and while it seems somewhat unlikely, the answer certainly isn’t a firm ‘no’, as today we see two new colorups expected in the near future. One goes for a tonal black upper/white sole combo just like the TZ joints that dropped in London this June while the white/blue/pink edition echoes a colorway found on the Lunar Flow. Sneaker News just gave you a friendly reminder that 1990′s Air Jordan V is releasing in a brand new colorway for 2011 this Saturday, the same date as another classic model from about two decades ago. The Nike Air Flow was born in ’89, a model so futuristic that you can see its influence in cutting edge tech like the Swoosh’s Hyperfuse fabrication process. And while there is indeed a LunarLon cushioned, Fuse-uppered update, just like the classic Air Jordan Legacy models, you simply cannot go wrong with a blast from the past featuring its original colorways. Click through for a view of these Saturday, July 2nd releases and look for them this weekend at Tier Zero Nike Sportswear stockists like SneakersNStuff or grab ‘em right now on eBay.

Quick, name your top 5 classic Nike runners. Done? We won’t blame you if the Nike Air Flow wasn’t on your list, as this futuristic silhouette that was once at the forefront of breathable sneaker technology hasn’t seen the light of day since it’s original release back in the 80′s. However, they are hitting the streets again this summer courtesy of Nike Sportswear, so after that it’s no excuses. This shoe was truly ahead of its time, setting the precedent for many lightweight shoes for years to come, a trend that we’ve seen mostly recently in Nike’s Hyperfuse efforts. These two OG colorways of the Nike Air Flow will be available at Tier Zero retailer West NYC this weekend on Saturday, July 2nd. Hit the jump for a full photo set as this is one retro you don’t want to miss, and if there’s no Tier Zero retailers near you, get a pair now on eBay.

Sneaker News showed you exclusive images of the Nike Air Flow in Bright Cactus and Blue Glow earlier this week, a colorway that underlines the model’s connection to its late ’80s heritage and the following Huarache series. And proof that this crazy-to-this-day design can be a versatile canvas is this new pack of Air Flow Tier Zero releases that feature tonal suede, leather and neoprene uppers. Pairs in black and brown are subtle enough to match anything and stylish enough to punctuate any streetwear ensemble, though as a TZ drop, they’ll be limited and relatively tough to find. Click through for more images and look for these at Nike Tier Zero accounts this Saturday. via CT

The closest the world has been to a new pair of Nike Air Flows in the OG colorway since the model first debuted over two decades ago, was Size?’s Lightweight Runners Pack from their 10th anniversary blowout year. In that set, the Air Mariah was colored up in the Lush Teal and Varsity Purple getup that joins the above pictured Bright Cactus and Blue Glow edition at Tier Zero accounts on Saturday, June 25th. They even look a bit like Size?’s homage to the OG Huaraches, the bright-on-white look a quintessential early ’90s look. Click through to get a better look at these neoprene beauties after the jump and let us know if you’re gonna get yourself a pair.

The initial set of Nike Lunar Flow colorways was released earlier this season, and with the dog days of summer fast approaching, what better time to see some new super-breathable, featherweight runners? This new trio of Lunar Flows goes in a different direction as the last three. Those looked to emulate the early ’90s golden era of Nike Running from which the OG Air Flow emanated, while these new joints are quite contemporary, their tonal Hyperfuse uppers descending into white LunarLon soles. Click through to see closer looks at the red, black and silver pairs that are hitting select Asian retailers like atmos next Saturday and stick with Sneaker News for updates on the US release date. via mita.

Sneaker News has shown you a few previews of its Lunar-soled update, but today we’re happy to have our first look at the first Nike Air Flow releases since the inception of the Swoosh’s Sportswear division. The Air Flow was introduced in 1989 as a top of the line technical runner, its neoprene sock construction serving as a forebear to modern classics like the Air Presto and with its distinctive heel cup, there’s even a bit of Air Max 90 Current Huarache foreshadowing. But unlike that updated model, these are true to the original, right down to the vibrant colorway that’s aged as well as any Nike classics. Click through to see more of the upcoming Nike Air Flow retro and stick with Sneaker News for the release date and possible additional colorways. via EK
