If merely flipping the outsole color on your favorite pair of Nike Foamposite sneakers isn’t quite enough for you, there’s always the light up route. Shown here is a new creation from Sole Swap that pushes an LED set up onto the icy outsole, allowing them to shine on a level that no amounts of sea-glow could ever match. The upper also gets a slight makeover as well, with the Nike Air Foamposite One “Electrolime” injected with some covert bits of blue. Continue reading to see more on this Nike Air Foamposite One custom from Sole Swap and tell us in the comments if you like the light up look.

The custom Foamposite creations continue to flow from the likes of team Sole Swap, the Jason Negron helmed outfit most recently cranking out this remix of of the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Electrolime’. The colorway, almost looking like a reverse of the recent ‘Flash’ pair, is a Washington Redskins tribute. While Whoopi Goldberg may not be the person you’d most expect to pop up in the latest Nike Sportswear releases she is a born and raised New Yorker, so you have to expect her to be at least aware of the whole sneaker culture. Apparently she’s a little bit more than that, having showed up to this morning’s episode of The View with that pinnacle of Nike Air Penny brightness, the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Electrolime’. Is this perhaps the product of a Flight Club splurge on her way to work at the ABC studios one day? Is Whoopi sitting on a massive collection of Nike Basketball rarities that we don’t know about? Stay tuned to Sneaker News to figure out and let us know in the comments what you think of Whoopi’s Foamposite fit.

The University of Oregon has firmly embedded itself into the past, present, and future of Nike as a whole, as the founders of the Swoosh have risen from Duck roots and have established the world HQ just a couple of hours away from the UofO campus. The running and training heritage born from Bowerman and Knight has manifested itself in a ton of PE and special edition releases over the last few years, but we haven’t seen much on the Nike Sportswear side of things – until now.
Jason Negron’s next project was to transform the Nike Air Foamposite One into Duck form, using the Electrolimes as a base and dying the outsole a Oregon green while adding the ‘O’ logo on the heel and the Fighting Duck on the tongue, replacing the ’1-Cent’ logo. Negron clearly has a jump on these creative ideas (remember, before Spike got his Knicks Foams, Jason completed his own Knicks-styled Foam customs), so will we see a ‘Duckposite’ PE in the future? Continue reading for a detailed gallery below and let us know what you think of these customs, and if you want to commission your own pair, hit up Jason Negron directly through his Sole Swap Facebook page.

Last week, Sneaker News introduced our ‘On The Fence’ segment, giving our readers the opportunity to vocalize (through a keyboard) their thoughts and mull the decision of copping or passing on a shoe that might not exactly be a ‘no-brainer’ pick-up. While any Air Foamposite release should clear off of store shelves very quickly, the timing of the ‘Electrolime’ release could be a potential decisive factor for this release. Some of your wallets may still be feeling the effects of the massive All-Star releases or even last week’s Air Jordan XIV drop, or perhaps you’re planning ahead and looking forward to the Air Jordan XII ‘Playoffs’ release or even the Air Yeezy 2 in April. Maybe ‘Electrolime’ is just a bit too ‘loud’ for you, or your Electric Green Foamposite Pros or even the Metallic Red Foams from early February are still holding you down firmly. Whatever the case may be, let us know what side of the fence you fall on the Electrolime Foamposite debate by discussing it in the comments section and voting in the quick and easy poll below!
