The celebrity set seems to be particularly interested in the custom sneaker scene. It makes sense though-they’ve got type of clout that these creations require and they’ve got pressure on them to have unique sneakers in an era when everyone’s a “sneakerhead”. Busta Rhymes is the latest customer, having called upon the skills of Sole Swap man Jason Negron for a light up pair of the Nike Air Foamposite One “Fighter Jet” and another more standard colored pair. The Nike Air Foamposite One “Fighter Jet” is a sneaker that actually has a bit of a thematic connection to the light up look. You can think of the LED treatment embedded in the icy outsole as an extension of the cockpit lights you might see in such a vehicle. The next Nike Air Foamposite One pair to get dressed up in a graphic print is very nearly here. Tomorrow will mark the release of the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Fighter Jet’, a sneaker that was originally predicted to be caught up in the 2013 NBA All-Star given the ‘Galaxy’ connection that went down last year. That’s not to be, as the pair will instead slide right onto retail shelves without any real story connected. There are two styles you can look forward to both sporting the snowy camo colors of the the ‘Fighter Jet’ theme. That would be the Nike Air Foamposite One and the Nike Air Force 1 Downtown. It’s still uncertain what sort of story Nike Sportswear is looking to tell with the group, but there’s no doubt about the link between the two. The upcoming Nike Air Foamposite One “Fighter Jet” will break new ground as the model reaches the $235 mark for the first time in existence. With it, a special pair of Penny-centric dog-tags will be included, which perfectly accompanies the camouflage-print upper. Of course, we do know that this is just one of at least two camo-printed Foamposites, but keep your focus on these for now because the release for these (February 9th) is just around the corner. There’s no doubt that the upcoming All-Star releases put out by Nike will be one of the more elusive cops of the entire year. The White Camo ‘Fighter Jets’, which are projected to be a part of the outer space-themed set of releases, will definitely be one of the must-haves of that entire set, and seeing Rajon Rondo with them during his recent games proves that these do in fact look amazing on-feet! The verdict is still regarding the Fighter Jets being a worthy follow-up to last year’s Galaxy and ParaNormans, but rest assured knowing that tonal colorways aren’t the only game in Foamposite town.
