Is it too early to crown Rajon Rondo as the Sneaker News NBA Feet champion this early into the 2012-2013 NBA Season? The polemic point guard for the Celtics has been consistent with his on-court kicks, especially with his choice of Foamposites. He started the season wearing the Polarized Pink joints, which stole some of LeBron’s Championship PE thunder, then soon followed that up with the Black/Medium Grey joints. During tonight’s game against the Chicago Bulls, Rondo whipped out the much-anticipated Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Fighter Jet’ – an early 2013 release that some have considered to be the 2013 All-Star release. We’re just a week away from the Polarized Pink drop date that’ll soon be followed by the Stealths, but even with all that heat rapidly approaching, it’s still hard not to get ahead of ourselves and pull in a T-minus 87 days countdown for the pair pictured above. Not only is it eye-catching, but the ‘Fighter Jet’ Nike Air Foamposite One has some huge shoes to fill as the follow-up to this year’s riot-inducing ‘Galaxy’ masterpiece. Four-color greyscale camouflage and two-toned carbon fiber give these a tremendously aggressive look, with military details providing the finishing touches of one of the most visually engaging Foamposite releases to date. Dropping on February 9th on the weekend before the 2013 NBA All-Star Game in Houston, TX, the ‘Fighter Jet’ acts as a continuation of last year’s Galaxy joints as an unofficial All-Star Game treat, using graphic prints on the upper with an array of details on the insoles an heel/tongue-tabs.
