NIKE AIR FOAMPOSITE PRO The Nike Air Foamposite Pro is a Nike Basketball sneaker that debuted in 1997, hitting shelves soon after its predecessor the Nike Air Foamposite One. The Pro features a similar silhouette, with the differences coming in the form of the side Swoosh and the lack of any Penny Hardaway branding. The Nike Air Foamposite was also given the retro treatment much sooner than the One, being trotted out again at the early part of the last decade.

When graphic Foamposite sneakers started to arrive in the past couple of years, they helped change the way we look at that line of sneakers – which had traditionally been focused on solid colors. Further pushing the boundaries will be this year’s introduction of the suede Foams. Now that both of those are out there – how long till they meet? It’s not happening just yet, as the upcoming Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Elephant Print” wears that pattern on the standard Foamposite body rather than an embossed nubuck set up. Get with us after the break for a reminder on this upcoming pair and then give us your two cents in the comments regarding the direction that Nike Foamposites are headed.

Nike Air Foamposite Pro – Unreleased Black/White Sample

June 9th, 2014 by | 20 comments

nike foamposite pro black white doom sample Nike Air Foamposite Pro Unreleased Black/White Sample

The Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Dr. Doom” from 2006 wasn’t the most sought after of Foamposites when it hit, but it has since become a tough find thanks to the overall elevated status of the line in the past decade or so. Ending up even more elevated then would be this sample, which has a bit of overlap with that villain themed sneaker. Where it departs is in its contrast touches: the lace placket gets some extra white and so does the stitching on the tongue. See the evidence below and then tell us in the comments how these black/white Foam samples compare to the similar “Dr. Doom”.

The Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Yeezy” will release on Nikestore tomorrow, 4/25 at 7PM EDT. The sneakers were originally supposed to launch last weekend, but when they showed up online at the normally scheduled time the Nikestore servers seemed to have a hard time handling things, and for the most part people were unable to purchase. Tomorrow’s scheduled release suggests that that Air Jordan restock also planned for last Saturday is coming soon, so stay tuned for more on that. Also remember that you can always see what’s out there now in terms of Yeezy Foams on eBay.

Nikestore Restock of Jordans Postponed

nikestore restock jordans postponed Nikestore Restock of Jordans Postponed

Last night, the official Nikestore Twitter account laid out a rather obvious hint regarding a restock of Jordan products. Among these coveted styles were the Air Jordan 1 “Bred”, Air Jordan 1 “Royal”, Air Jordan 11 “Gamma Blue”, Air Jordan 3 ’88, and much more. The restock would go down this morning at 10 AM, and although what products would be available was never revealed, a horde of eager buyers lined up on online to capture what goodies would be in store. However, prior to the 10 AM restock, Nikestore released two big items – the Yeezy Foams and the low-top Air Jordan 11s; those two releases proved to be too much for Nike to handle, and thus the online release of the launch products were postponed.

In addition to the postponed release of the Foams and AJ11s, Nike chose to postpone the announced 10AM restock of Air Jordans. What’s interesting is that at the scheduled 10 AM time, all of the restocked Jordans were up on Nikestore, although no product was available to be added to the shopping cart. Apparently, twenty-three different Air Jordans were intended to be up for sale, but as of now, the restock, as well as the release of the Yeezy Foams and Air Jordan 11 Low, has been postponed indefinitely (Although it appears a small minority were able to get through – and those orders will be honored.

This brings up a new topic of discussion: Are announced restocks of any benefit? If the masses can anticipate such a pivotal event, it is likely that a larger number of hopeful buyers would show up and eventually clog up the shopping channel and force Nike to close up shop. Would you rather Nike drop these random releases unannounced, like last year’s big restock or the release of the Red Yeezy 2s? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more updates on the pending release of today’s launch products and the restock.
