NIKE AIR FOAMPOSITE PRO The Nike Air Foamposite Pro is a Nike Basketball sneaker that debuted in 1997, hitting shelves soon after its predecessor the Nike Air Foamposite One. The Pro features a similar silhouette, with the differences coming in the form of the side Swoosh and the lack of any Penny Hardaway branding. The Nike Air Foamposite was also given the retro treatment much sooner than the One, being trotted out again at the early part of the last decade.

After the Sneaker News March Madness Foamposite Tournament wrapped up the First Round of voting last night, we’d like to present to you the Sweet 16 that our readers selected to move on in battle. All #1 Seeds still remain, but there are several upsets that we must take note of (remember fellas, these are your votes talking!). The largest upset in terms of seeding came from the Southwest bracket, as the 2012 Pink Foamposite took down the most limited Air Foamposite One to hit retail in the Dark Army (under 100 pairs released), but other eye-catching results include the Bright Crimson Pro beating out the original Voltage in the East bracket and the Silver Pro outgunning the Carolina in the Southwest. If you want a full breakdown of the results, check out the voting percentages for each match-up below.

Last night, Sneaker News unveiled the final brackets and seedings of the thirty-two Nike Foamposites selected for the Sneaker News March Madness Foamposite Tournament. We’ll kick off the official voting with the West bracket, featuring notable seeds like the original “Royal” and the recently released “Fighter Jet” Foamposite. With a true clash of old uniform colorways and new bright colors and graphics, there is no clear-cut winner because the older and newer generations of Foamposite fans certainly have contrasting opinions, so be sure to get your votes in today as we kick off the First Round of the Tournament with the West bracket. We will open up voting for the remaining brackets (Southwest, East, and Southeast) in the following days, with ALL First Round polls stay open until Sunday, March 24th at 11:59 PM EST.

While some folk in the custom sneaker scene are focused on slapping the most intricate of colorways on their work, Sole Swap has been going left with his powerful switch ups. Shown here is the latest, which remixes the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Dark Pine’ colorway. An sunburned orange gets introduced to the outsole and the various Swoosh hits around the sneaker (Along with the customary patches on the back end). In just a few short weeks the ‘Fighter Jet’ version of the camo’d out Nike Air Foamposite One will hit retail, following up the widely successful ‘Galaxy’ of nearly one year ago. Following up the White Camo is a more classic arrangement of colors on the Pro model, which featured an US Armed Forces Air Force logo on the heel and some unique speckling on the upper lace placket. Today, we’re getting a look at a sample version of the Nike Air Foamposite Pro ‘Camo’ that featured a few differences – namely the gum outsole (instead of solid black) and regular Foamposite markings on the upper like the forefoot and heel Swoosh and the ‘Fighter Jet’ “Danger” markings on the ankle. Based on the ‘Fighter Jet’ and this first look at a classic ‘Army Camo’, it’s rather clear that a theme of militarism will be an ongoing one throughout the early 2013 releases of the Foamposite. This first preview heel-angle of the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Army Camo’ reveals some distinct detailing like the star logo and the ribbon on the pull-tab, so perhaps Nike Sportswear will release its first ever ‘Pack’ of Premium-grade Foamposites tied together with an anchoring theme?
