NIKE AIR FOAMPOSITE PRO The Nike Air Foamposite Pro is a Nike Basketball sneaker that debuted in 1997, hitting shelves soon after its predecessor the Nike Air Foamposite One. The Pro features a similar silhouette, with the differences coming in the form of the side Swoosh and the lack of any Penny Hardaway branding. The Nike Air Foamposite was also given the retro treatment much sooner than the One, being trotted out again at the early part of the last decade.

Camouflage print made a major comeback in 2012, with several brands and collaborators incorporating the rugged graphic either in minute details in an unabashed tonal composition. Sneaker customizer WEEKend mixes in a unique forest/woodland camo print on just the Swoosh of the Nike Air Foamposite Pro, keeping the all-black upper a nice monotone black, but it’s the extra details like the ‘buck’ logo on the heel and insole that really makes these Foamposite customs worth a second look (that insole logo is one of the best we’ve ever seen). Check out the gallery below and place your bids in now from this listing from niftnif1990 on eBay.

We’ve seen sneakers get a horror inspired makeover plenty of times before, with Freddy Krueger being a frequent muse in that realm. Leaning more towards the campy side is this Nike Air Foamposite Pro ‘Evil Dead’ custom, calling upon that classic slasher flick with its gory graphics. Along with the blood splatters and “Evil Dead” hit across the back, the sneaker slides in a crazy chainsaw gear look around the carbon fiber plate as a tribute to main character Ash’s weapon of choice. The Foamposite lineup already has its own mass hysteria inducing ‘Galaxy’ sneaker, but let’s keep in mind that that that 2012 All-Star Game motif was rather wide ranging in its scope, picking up quite a few pairs that each interpreted the theme slightly differently. Late to the party was the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 ‘Galaxy’ pair for Blake Griffin, sporting a moon surface upper, stellar laces, and a bright orange Swoosh slapped on the side. Borrowing from the colorway is this creation from Sole Swap and Rebel Aire, a Nike Air Foamposite Pro after the same look. Click through to peep the pair that even comes with a reworked sole kit aiming at that eerie ivory glow of the moon and let us know what you think of this Nike Air Foamposite Pro ‘Blake Griffin Galaxy’ in the comments below.

If you’ve paid any attention to the recent output of custom kicks creator Chef then you’d realize that the various styles in the Nike Air Foamposite line are very much his calling card at the moment, with a particular focus on the Nike Air Foamposite One. This time around he’s switched things up just a bit, grabbing hold of the ‘Crimson’ pair of Pros and utilizing the orange bottoms as a jumping off point for a Nerf design. Click through with us to check out the results and let us know if you think the Nike Air Foamposite Pro ‘Nerf’ lives up to the standard set by that coveted Nike Zoom KD IV that they owe their palette to.

The Nike Air Foamposite Pro releases in a Metallic Platinum and Bright Crimson (and of course, black) mix this weekend, and an enterprising designer is getting in on the fit. Available on Friday, August 31st (not October as the website currently reads) at midnight Pacific is the ‘Worth Every Penny’ strapback cap from Rare Addiction, a yet-to-be-priced ‘Foamposite’-brimmed cap whose self-described ‘neon orange’ accents keep them in the tonal range of the bright red shade on those soon-to-drop Foam Pros. So while the tagline remains to be proven (presumably, a cap with an injected foam brim and carbon fiber strap will be quite costly), we can evaluate the design itself with more photos after the jump. Have another look, let us know how they compare to the constantly growing library of sneaker-inspired streetwear and stick with Sneaker News for more details.

The recent news around the Air Foamposite Pro ‘Bright Crimson’ wasn’t much to scoff at, as the release date change constituted nothing but a one-day push forward. We don’t think that really derails any of your plans – in fact, it might make it a bit easier to cop these as well as the Air Jordan VII ‘Raptors’ and LeBron 9 Low ‘Liverpool’ joints on the September 1st release date, but if you’ve been eyeing nothing but the Foams, at least you’ll avoid the Saturday shopping rush. It’s turning out to be a great back-to-school shopping season thanks to the Bright Crimson Foams (they’re arriving at stores like Rock City Kicks now), so will you be rocking these once school begins? Let us know where these rank among this year’s Foamposite releases, and you can bet Sneaker News will be the first to update you on all the info you need.

The Foamposite didn’t have too much ‘alone’-time this Summer as early July’s ‘Gym Green’ Foamposite Pro is ready to be followed up by the ‘Bright Crimson’, which is currently scheduled for a September 1st release date. While the July Foamposite release is still sitting around in some stores, waiting to be picked off, the ‘Bright Crimson’ will be tougher to overlook considering the color-combination is unlike any other Foamposite One/Pro we’ve seen before; it combines a lustrous Metallic Platinum on the upper with Black accents and a vibrant Bright Crimson outsole – an unusual two-toned combo that could be the trend of the next wave of Foamposite releases. There’s still about four weeks left to wait around, but you can cop ‘em early from el-store on eBay.
