NIKE AIR FOAMPOSITE PRO The Nike Air Foamposite Pro is a Nike Basketball sneaker that debuted in 1997, hitting shelves soon after its predecessor the Nike Air Foamposite One. The Pro features a similar silhouette, with the differences coming in the form of the side Swoosh and the lack of any Penny Hardaway branding. The Nike Air Foamposite was also given the retro treatment much sooner than the One, being trotted out again at the early part of the last decade.

Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Yeezy” – Available Early on eBay

January 28th, 2014 by | 21 comments

foamposite yeezy pro Nike Air Foamposite Pro Yeezy Available Early on eBay

The upcoming Nike Air Foamposite Pro whose colorway has been connected with Kanye West’s Nike Air Yeezys tones down the graphic expression we’ve seen on recent Foams in favor of a subtler, more texturized approach. So instead of a three-color upper like the ‘Spider-Man’ edition, these are all black up top and include a tonal carbon fiber pattern on the upper as well as a snake treatment on the eyestay. The Solar Red lining is what started the ‘Yeezy’ nickname along with the pale green sole we can now confirm definitely glows in the dark. We’re still waiting on an official release date on these but the sufficiently motivated can find a pair available now at a bit of a premium, courtesy of sneakr_authority on eBay.

It seems that the “Spider Man” Nike Air Foamposite Pro is indeed the first Foamposite of 2014. Despite the fact that the February 8th release date is still a few weeks off, some retailers, like Hanon, are already starting to get pairs in. These continue the recent trend of Foamposites being covered in loud graphics and are certain to turn quite a few heads to say the least. Now that these Foamposites are arriving, are you planning to pick them up? Let us know in the comments and stay with Sneaker News for more info.

Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Solar Red”

yeezy foams1 Nike Air Foamposite Pro Solar Red

You can call them “Yeezy” Foams if you want, but some people aren’t too happy about the quick associations made that connect any given black/pink pair of sneakers with Kanye West’s Nike line. The similarities are certainly there on this upcoming Nike Air Foamposite Pro though-that solar red hue shows up for the lining, the base is black and features what sort of looks like a snake pattern around the lace placket, and those just might be GITD soles. Stay with us after the break for a more comprehensive look at these Foamposites, one which obscures the carbon fiber pattern just a little bit, and check back in on Sneaker News for a release date.

Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Spider-Man” – Release Date

spider man foam pro release date Nike Air Foamposite Pro Spider Man Release Date

The Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Spider-Man” release date is February 8th, 2014. The sneakers will be the first pair of Foamposites to release in 2014, barring any unforeseen circumstances, and seem to suggest that we will be seeing plenty more graphic pairs going forward. It should go without saying that the “Spider Man” name attached is purely a colloquial one-this isn’t any sort of Marvel tie in. “Yeezy” Nike Air Foamposite Pro

The “Yeezy” nickname does get passed around quite often (sometimes unnecessarily), but let’s face it – these are almost an exact homage to that popular Y2 colorway. This upcoming release, which matches the Nike Air Foamposite Pro model with the black exterior, hot red interior, and presumably glow-in-the-dark sole, and also adds some individual flair with the carbon fiber appliques on the upper lace collar (note to Nike: all carbon-fiber Foams are a must).  Your thoughts on this colorway? Give us a shout in the comments below and stay tuned for a release date on these Yeezy Foams.
