It’s always a pleasure to inject some Eastern wonderment to the American footwear culture – who better than atmos? The Japanese retailer has been steadily depended upon by several footwear brands to bring that unique spice and flavor, and has atmos ever failed to impress? Earlier this year, they gave the Powerlines a spin with that starry-night graphic, and we saw it in use again in that teaser shot of these Footscape Woven Chukkas. This first detailed look reveals additional angles of the design as well as one insanely trendy feature of 2012 kicks – glow-in-the-dark outsoles. The Footscape Woven Chukka is already a ‘niche’ shoe, but with a design as attractive as this, we wouldn’t be surprised if more sneakerheads got into this out-of-the-box design. atmos reports a release date for November 23rd (Black Friday), so hit the gallery below and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more details.

Don’t get all excited by the ‘Black Swan’ colorway, this isn’t a Natalie Portman x Mila Kunis tie-in. What you should get excited by though is yet another killer release dropping this year for the unorthodox Nike Air Footscape Woven Chukka Motion model. They dropped in an Animal Pack this summer, but for those not in touch with their wild side, Nike Sportswear has been offering up a more muted palette as on the pair shown above. The mixture of blacks and greys sits well over the tumbled leather and woven upper, which gets a bit of pop thanks to the cannon color up by the eyelets. Take a full look at this Nike Air Footscape Woven Chukka after the jump and hit up SNS for your pair.

The ‘Night Cat’ collaboration with Bodega was one of May’s sneaker release highlights, but they’re not the only Nike Air Footscape Woven Chukka models this year with an animal inspiration. Check out the latest midtop Footscape Woven Motion, a mix of white/black zebra-striped horsehair held together by grey woven nylon and riding a white Free sole. They’re quite similar in spirit to the leopard joints we showed you back in April; will either pair be available at Nike Sportswear retailers soon? Be sure to check back with Sneaker News regularly to find out, but in the meantime, click on the jump below to see some photos of this new Zebra Air Footscape Woven Chukka and leave a comment to let us know how they compare to the others we’ve seen in 2011. via Kicks-crew

However difficult it may sound, it’s important that you not walk under a ladder, break a mirror or open an umbrella indoors while reading this post. We wouldn’t want you to get strapped with several sets of seven years’ bad luck, but then again, some cultures believe that a black cat isn’t a specter, but rather a harbinger of good things to come. So with that in mind, it’s fitting that Boston’s Bodega picked the ‘Night Cat’ as its theme for this collaboration with Nike Sportswear celebrating the boutique’s fifth anniversary. On one hand, Bodega is unlucky to have Cambridge’s Concepts right down the road competing with them for the title of New England’s best sneaker shop, but on the other, they’re quite fortunate with how well this pack of Footscape Woven Chukka and Footscape Woven Motions has turned out. Click through to see some more images of the Bodega x Nike Footscape Woven Motion courtesy of Kenlu and look out for these tomorrow at select NSW retailers like 21 Mercer, or pick up a pair now on eBay.
