The Footscape category has dominate by the likes of the Nike Footscape Woven Chukka Motion as of late, with that chunkier shoe taking the reins for the asymmetric style. This summer the Nike Air Footscape Motion will be grabbing the spotlight back, arriving in a handful of new colorways that are topped off with a suede toe-cap up front. So far they’ve only been spotted at Japanese retailers, but let’s hope that they will be making their way to the states as well. LeBron James has proven time and time again, that particularly for someone as large as him, he (or his stylist) clearly has a strong fashion sense. ’Bron is pictured above in the kind of classy casual attire that’d have Allen Iverson and guys of his ilk fidgeting with discomfort, a clean mix of white button-down, grey slacks and the Nike Air Footscape Woven Motion ‘Black Cat’ that dropped as part of Bodega’s collaborative capsule earlier this summer. The effortless combo may not have improved King James’ violin skills, but it certainly dressed him to impress at girlfriend Savannah Brinson’s 25th birthday party. However difficult it may sound, it’s important that you not walk under a ladder, break a mirror or open an umbrella indoors while reading this post. We wouldn’t want you to get strapped with several sets of seven years’ bad luck, but then again, some cultures believe that a black cat isn’t a specter, but rather a harbinger of good things to come. So with that in mind, it’s fitting that Boston’s Bodega picked the ‘Night Cat’ as its theme for this collaboration with Nike Sportswear celebrating the boutique’s fifth anniversary. On one hand, Bodega is unlucky to have Cambridge’s Concepts right down the road competing with them for the title of New England’s best sneaker shop, but on the other, they’re quite fortunate with how well this pack of Footscape Woven Chukka and Footscape Woven Motions has turned out.
