Selected previews have shown how Liberty of London’s latest Nike Sportswear collaborations head in a new direction. Today we see that one of their designs had previously slipped under the radar, though in this new context, it’s now quite obvious that the hangtag on these Liberty x Nike Air Force 1 Downtown Highs reveals their origins. These appear to be the first men’s design from Liberty, who’ve opted for a dark base for the upper’s floral print, which is made considerably more aggressive by spikes surrounding the side panel Swoosh. Its lowtop form is a key component in Nike Sportswear’s AF1 XXX Anniversary Holiday Collection for the, and now that we’ve established this slimmed down Uptown with a few viewings, it’s time to examine the hightop version. The Nike Air Force 1 Downtown High makes its first appearance in a visually stimulating new style that combines an abstract print similar to the ‘Pink Camo’ we saw on an upcoming WMNS Air Force 1, as well as studs around the Swoosh on the mid panels and a dark but engaging mix of colors.
