We’re still awaiting the Liberty London collab that was the most recent piece of Nike Air Force 1 Downtown Sneaker News before today. Here’s a new AF1 Downtown that opts instead of a multicolor print, to dabble in dark greys and black of varying glosses. Combining a traditional leather with suede, patent and mirror-shiny metallic leathers all atop a tonal midsole gives this Air Force 1 Downtown a unique feel. Liberty London’s collaborative resume includes a whole lot of Nike Sportswear WMNS releases, but here’s a case where they seem to have carved out a particular model as just for men. The Liberty x Nike Air Force 1 Downtown capitalizes on the momentum from the spiked hightop with three forthcoming lows, each with a different multicolor print whose timeliness reinforces the sense of Liberty as a trendsetter in the textile industry. The Liberty team up with Nike Sportswear is one that we don’t ever expect to fade at this point, with the fancy fabrics straight out of London popping up on additional silhouettes seemingly every season. This time around the relatively new Nike Air Force 1 Downtown is the sneaker selected to put on those patterns, as the three upcoming pairs previewed here feature those unique uppers as well as the shaved down sole characteristic to the model. Along with the long-awaited ‘Ironman’ edition comes another Nike Air Force 1 Downtown Quickstrike for March. The second of these AF1 Downtown QS releases from Nike Sportswear goes in a totally different direction, eschewing all manner of gloss and even color in favor of a luxurious black leather build that features a basket-woven base layer. So now you’ve got a choice where you’re going to spend $175 on a low-profile Air Force 1 lowtop, but with both releasing in limited numbers at select locations, you’ll want to make that decision quickly upon seeing more photos below now that they’re available at NSW spots like Social Status.

With the third installment of Robert Downey Jr.’s immensely popular Marvel movie series less than two months away from its May 3rd open, Ironman has been making his mark on the sneaker world this spring. Vans previewed a whole pack devoted to the comic book universe and the closest thing basketball has to a superhero got in on the fun when LeBron James himself ordered a pair of LeBron X customs with the Tony Stark look. There’s also an official Swoosh release with the familiar burgundy and gold look, as the ‘Ironman’ Nike Air Force 1 Downtown arrives with a glossy metallic construction at select Nike Sportswear retailers like Social Status.

If you’re trying to figure out where you’ve seen the ‘Iron Man’ suit on an Air Force 1, you’re probably thinking of the pair of Air Force 1 Bespokes worn by Justin Theroux during the Iron Man 2 premiere nearly three years ago. Theroux, who is credited for the screenplay of the sequel, wore mismatched Forces to mirror Iron Man and War Machine – the latter character being introduced during that film. This Saturday, you’ll get a chance to get your own Iron Man Air Force 1s, only these are of the ‘Downtown’ variety. One of the first times that we ever caught wind of the Nike Air Force 1 Downtown was via this leather and leopard look. Months later we still haven’t seen this specific colorway at retail, but the tags peg them as a Summer 2013 release so there may be hope yet. Despite the animal print utilized they actually manage a fairly lowkey look thanks to the tan leather constituting the rest of the upper.
