As we mentioned in examining the Obsidian, Barely Blue and Green Abyss edition on Monday, the Nike Air Force 1 Downtown is ready with a new look to kick off 2014. This new reveal pictured here in Pro Green has a slightly different feel, as instead of going tonal these use a black Swoosh, and this embrace of a wider range of colors is also evident on the laces, where instead of just a soft green, these go all the way into yellow with the popular neon shade known as Volt. Check these out in detail below so you can compare this green rendition to the blues previewed before them, and stick with Sneaker News to find out when these and all future AF1 Downtowns hit Nike Sportswear stores.

We haven’t seen a new Nike Air Force 1 Downtown release in 2014, so this pair pictured above has become the first. Featuring an upper mixing Silver nubuck and microperfed leather with Dark Grey Swooshes and Atomic Orange laces, this new AF1 Downtown is another one of this slimmed-down Uptown’s low-key colorways. It draws your attention to the low-profile sole by rendering the top rand in the same color as the Swoosh, while the rest offers a milky translucency. Check out some additional images after the jump, then grab yours from comet_trail_sports on eBay.

After ending 2013 on a strong note, the Nike Air Force 1 Downtown had been absent to this point in 2014. But now we see a new variety coming in with a few forthcoming drops based around the pattern demonstrated above. These new AF1 Downtowns are done in Obsidian leather (some of which is microperforated) and nubuck, with the new Barely Blue checking in on the Swooshes and Green Abyss laces finishing the aquatic tonal look. All of this atop a milky translucent sole makes for an ice cold look, one that you can see in more detail after the jump while we await word on a US release.

nike air force 1 brazil collection release 01 570x425 Nike Air Force 1 Brazil Collection Release Date

It is a well established fact that Brazil is South America’s sneaker capital.  Nike has made the nation special edition product for years now, most of which centers around that soccer/skate/lifestyle spectrum in which the Dunk has mingled for quite some time.  2011′s ‘E Possevil’ colorway proved there was an Uptown following as well, and now the Nike Air Force 1 ‘Brazil Collection’ proves it is possible to get a whole pack of AF1s.  There’s one in the classic lowtop form, one of the slimmer Downtown styles and one Lunar update, all in white with color pops borrowing from the flag.  All three hit select Nike Sportswear retailers on Saturday, December 28th, and that includes NikeStore.

Is the Nike Air Force 1 a big shoe out in Brazil? We need some of our South American readers to inform us on that one. Whether or not it is yet, it might be soon given how much love Nike Sportswear is giving to that shoe with respect to that country. Shown here is the Nike Air Force 1 “Brazil” pack, one that we can only assume was crafted in anticipation of next year’s World Cup festivities in that nation. The next iteration of the all-white Air Force 1 has further exposed itself, but the release date remains a mystery.  This Nike Air Force 1 Downtown Quickstrike is done in a textile with a satiny finish, which should be a nice change of pace from the leather we’ve come to expect from the ‘raw’ AF1s.  This Downtown edition has an icey blue bottom on its low profile sole, and shouts out the South American soccer capital with a Bandiera do Brasil flag on the insoles.  Sneaker News will keep you posted on availability for the ‘Brazil’ AF1 Downtown, and you can see more photos below in the meantime.
