If you’re trying to figure out where you’ve seen the ‘Iron Man’ suit on an Air Force 1, you’re probably thinking of the pair of Air Force 1 Bespokes worn by Justin Theroux during the Iron Man 2 premiere nearly three years ago. Theroux, who is credited for the screenplay of the sequel, wore mismatched Forces to mirror Iron Man and War Machine – the latter character being introduced during that film. This Saturday, you’ll get a chance to get your own Iron Man Air Force 1s, only these are of the ‘Downtown’ variety. We’ve got a gallery below so take a look and let us know if these would’ve been better in the classic AF1 mold rather than the low-pro Downtown model.

One of the first times that we ever caught wind of the Nike Air Force 1 Downtown was via this leather and leopard look. Months later we still haven’t seen this specific colorway at retail, but the tags peg them as a Summer 2013 release so there may be hope yet. Despite the animal print utilized they actually manage a fairly lowkey look thanks to the tan leather constituting the rest of the upper. The latest AF1 Downtown revelation from Nike Sportswear comes with a ‘LTH’ suffix. Given the huge variety of Uptowns with leather uppers, perhaps this particular design would have been more specific with a ‘WVN’ label, as the Nike Air Force 1 Downtown becomes the latest in a fairly large selection of recent woven NSW designs. The basket-woven construction is a fresh twist on the timeless blackout look, and you can see more details when you click through. There are two styles you can look forward to both sporting the snowy camo colors of the the ‘Fighter Jet’ theme. That would be the Nike Air Foamposite One and the Nike Air Force 1 Downtown. It’s still uncertain what sort of story Nike Sportswear is looking to tell with the group, but there’s no doubt about the link between the two. Something like the opposite of a Dunk Force 1 SB, the Nike Air Force 1 Downtown comes through with a new colorway with connections to a 2010 Nike Skateboarding release. Thanks to the use of the glossy Varsity Red and Flat Gold, these AF1 Downtowns have quickly picked up the ‘Ironman’ nickname, and stand as the shiny counterpart to the aforementioned suede SBs. Is there a specific story behind the upcoming duo of camo Nike Air Foamposite pairs that the general sneaker public isn’t aware of yet? If so, it looks like the Nike Air Force 1 Downtown will play some part in it, as evidenced by this upcoming pair that utilizes a similar camo print as the Nike Air Foamposite One from the group. In addition to that the sneakers put on a milky white outsole not far off from the treatment used on said Foamposite. We’ve already seen the Nike Basketball 2013 BHM Collection in action during last night’s scheduled NBA games on MLK Day, but you’ll have to wait til this Saturday to see the NSW Collection appear on any on-feet photos. The Nike Air Force 1 High Foamposite, Nike Air Force 1 Downtown, and Nike WMNS Dunk High Sky Hi are all included in this set – each owning a distinct colorway inspired by the Grey/Orange 2013 BHM graphic. These will release at select Nike Sportswear retailers such as Sneaker Politics, so peep the new photos below and don’t miss out on this big-time NSW release.

Nike Sportswear has made sure that the all new Nike Air Force 1 Downtown silhouette has plenty of interesting colorways to get a buzz building behind the slimmed down shoe. Following up the ‘Python’ and ‘Zebra’ pairs is this black and white camo version, one whose palette seems to reflect incognito blocking from the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Fighter Jet’. The sneakers also sport a not fully translucent sole set up on bottom.
