Rasheed Wallace’s return to the NBA meant one thing for sneaker fans – the comeback of the classic Nike Air Force 1 on an NBA court. Sheed’s been rolling with old-school flavor for over a decade, wearing his Air Force 1 PEs donning the iconic jumpshot silhouette logo on the heel. His increased playing time with the Knicks has meant an increase in Air Force 1 exposure (how fortunate that 2012 is a milestone year for the shoe), and today, we’re getting a detailed look at the ‘Away’ PE colorway that Sheed’s been wearing over the last few games. A gallery of this great player exclusive is right ahead so take a look and let us know what you think.

That Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low featuring the studded look we showed you earlier in the week apparently isn’t the only pair of Uptowns rocking that theme for the Holiday season. Also included in the group is a similarly constructed Nike Air Force 1 High, the higher reaching treatment obviously allowing for a bit more application of those miniature beads. Stick with Sneaker News after the jump to get a good look at both WMNS pairs from the Nike Air Force 1 XXX ‘Stud Pack’ and let us know if you wanna grab these when they hit the states.

NBA Feet: Rasheed Wallace – Nike Air Force 1 High PE

rasheed wallace air force 1 high pe 4 NBA Feet: Rasheed Wallace Nike Air Force 1 High PE

What does Rasheed Wallace bring to the table for the New York Knicks? Aside from his vocals and incredible three-point range, he throws in some of that old-school-cool with his Air Force 1 PEs. He’s worn Forces for much of career, opting for that Retro appeal in place of the newer innovations with the ‘Hyper’ prefix, and during his short, 8-minute performance against the Sixers, he whipped out a pair of Highs with his popular silhouette donning the heel panel of the shoes. We expect ‘Sheed to bring some more variety to the already-impressive NBA Feet rotation that the Knicks produce regularly, so check out his kicks from last night’s games and we’ll keep you in tune with any other specialties he brings out in the future.

There’s no questioning whether the Air Force 1 is among 2012′s very best collective efforts, but a fairly compelling battle could be fought in favor of the high or lowtop versions.  The Lows have gotten all three ‘Year of the Dragon’ drops, plus a few other XXX releases like the ‘Hero’, ‘Digi-Camo’ and ‘GITD’ editions, while the Nike Air Force 1 High was the one that kicked off the Pearl Collection and just dropped in a stately new ‘Presidential’ getup.  Both have enjoyed their fair share of general releases as well, and this new AF1 High in Dark Grey and white available now at CNCPTS has the kind of universal appeal that you can see for yourself in more photos below.

Nike Air Force 1 High “Presidential” – Air Force One Inspired

As things continue to heat up the political world leading up to this year’s presidential election, Nike too has decided to get a little bit presidential. Of course they’re not taking sides (although can you imagine how sick an elephant print/donkey hair pack would be?), instead lifting the model up to the maximum height in order to sort of metaphorically represent the high flying vessel it’s inspired by. After that the ‘Presidential’ Nike Air Force 1 High gets a flag stamped on the back end and a serial number made to again reflect a plane from the actual Air Force One fleet. Click through to check out the photos and stay tuned for release info on the Nike Air Force 1 High ‘Presidential’. Also keep in mind that Japanese power house mita is already has them in stock.

Nike Air Force 1 High “Presidential”

nike air force 1 high air force one 1 Nike Air Force 1 High Presidential

When that promising display popped up at 21 Mercer featuring the guarantee of a few more special Nike Air Force 1 releases in 2012, there was plenty of speculation to be had, with the suggestive names leading folks to dream up possibilities. The ‘Presidential’ pair seemed at first like a possible election year tie-in, but it looks as if Nike has instead swerved around that with a sort of no-brainer, taking it back to the place where the sneaker got its name in the first place. Shown here is the Nike Air Force 1 High ‘Presidential’, a rather shiny pair that gets its patriotic colorway from the real Air Force One, the air traffic control designated fleet of vehicles for the President of the United States. More specifically it’s a nod to SAM 27000, the second Boeing model created for our Commander in Chief. Click through to get the full photo and stick with Sneaker News for release info.
