Are we looking at a continuation of the LeBron James x Nike Sportswear Collection of the Holiday 2011 season? We showed you these crispy High-cut Air Force 1s a few days ago, but here it is again sprawled among a nice spread of Nike Sportswear apparel donning LBJ’s ’6′ jersey number as well as his stylized lion logo. These Forces couldn’t be any cleaner though, as it utilized the soft grain leather in a tonal-black package paired with a solid white outsole and accents of red on the interior lining as well as on the ‘AIR’ on the midsole. We’ll keep you updated if the LeBron James x NSW is in fact receiving a continuation for this Summer 2012 season, but rest assured that these Forces will hit stores this April 28th. Photo: edtrigger

It looks as if the 30th Anniversary Collection of Air Force 1′s has caused a trickle down of premium looks across the board, with this quick duo of Uptowns boasting some material upgrades. The low pair comes with anthracite leather up top that gets progressively more textured towards the back end, capped off at the heel with a diamond shaped alligator looking print. The high pair is a bit more sleek and smooth, opting for a simple black setup in contrast with the pearly white midsole. The Nike Air Force 1 iD launched with new Safari print options this monday, their combination of immortal 1980s styles still available for a short time as April’s limited material selection. The Safari print itself is available in two combinations (Dark Grey on Stealth or black on Khaki), but given that each element can come with your choice of those, vibrant full grain leathers, earth nubucks or even tonal Elephant print colors means that there’s quite a bit more variety available than what’s been implied by these conservative sample designs. Sneaker News has made a couple mentions of the Nike Air Force 1′s 30th anniversary overshadowing the Air Max 1′s 25th birthday, and what about that other alumni of the class of 1987? We know from our previews a short while ago that we’ll have a spread of Air Safari releases later in the year, and now even more of their signature look as the Air Force 1 iD adds Safari print options next month. As we see on samples of the High and Low versions, the traditional earthy spotted stuff will be among your choices, but what about all the crazy colors we saw starting back in 2008 from Nike Sportswear or more recently from the AF1 Bespoke Experience at their 21 Mercer flagship? Limited quantities of these dropping April 1st on NIKEiD will reveal the full answer, but in the meantime check out what we know to expect from these: black/grey/white with the option for a gum sole, or in other words, pure 2012 style with a bit of ’87 sampled out of respect to a fellow veteran.

Simple-as-can-be Nike Air Force 1s for the spring season remind us that not only has this model been around long enough to have cycled back through these foundational looks several times, but that it’s also responsible for paving the way for those very same styles. It all comes full-circle with this new Air Force 1 High Premium in black leather with a full-on white sole, a reminder that the lifestyle explosion of the last few years that’s brought along a new eye on colorblocking, was strongly influenced by the iconic varsity styling pioneered on models like the early AF1s. NIKEiD just previewed the range of ‘Tennis Ball’ options coming up for the Air Force 1 in March, and while those will be the month’s big focus, there are also additional choices at your disposal. The Nike Air Force 1 iD will refresh on March 1st with a bunch of new bold colors for the leather upper, a few combinations of which you can see in greater detail after the jump. They’re all classic Uptown with old school blocking and familiar shades, including a couple of Chicago-style designs and two more that go heavy on the Volt.
