While the Nike Air Force 1′s 30th birthday has of course been endlessly celebrated via the XXX premium pairs that keep on coming, the NIKE iD avenue has also been exercised to a pretty big extent. Every couple of months a new option has popped up, allowing you to recreate classic colorways of the past or crank out your own brand new style. The latest comes in the form of the reflective coating, one whose previews promised an ultra glow look given the right lighting. Of course they’re not always so flashy, as you can see in these completed sample pairs the silhouettes can lean on the colors if need be to turn heads. 2012 has already seen the release of one of the more reflective Nike Air Force 1 releases of all time in the form of that digi camo ‘XXX’ pair, one whose tetris-ed upper seemed to shine brighter than ever before. Going forward you’ll have the opportunity to coat a pair of Uptowns even more thoroughly with the shiny look. As of September 2012 the sneaker will gain the option of reflective synthetics on the upper, a treatment that shines through in the pastel pairs cooked up here. While Team USA is currently battling with other Olympic teams for gold-medal supremacy, you can guarantee yourself a spot of gold this August as Nike iD introduces its latest option for the Air Force 1 iD. A trio of new tastes like metallic leathers (seen here in gold), breathable mesh, and pearlized patent has potentially magnificent influence, seen here in these great colorways inspired by the Olympic dream. When Sneaker News first previewed the Pioneer Leather options on NIKEiD for these 30th anniversary silhouettes, it seemed like the colors would also be as rugged and earthy as their name would suggest. New Nike Air Force 1 iD sample images prove this is both true and not, because while the base layers are indeed organic or otherwise muted shades, you can add enough color pops to the tongue, strap, Swoosh and other details. This gives you enough flexibility to end up anywhere between simple two-toned styles and, on the other end of the spectrum, novel looks like the above brown-based take on the ‘South Beach’ craze. The Nike Air Force 1‘s 30th anniversary blowout has included plenty of new options on the NIKEiD side of things, including everything from ballistic nylon to Elephant and Safari prints. The new drop for May also comes with a distinctive material, but it’s not quite like anything we’ve seen on the Air Force 1 iD before. The ’10th Mtn Division’ Air Force 1 iD is pictured above in an earthy combination of vintage canvas and rough grain leather and looks so good we can’t help but wonder which other colors might be available when these arrive on May 1st. The Nike Air Force 1 iD launched with new Safari print options this monday, their combination of immortal 1980s styles still available for a short time as April’s limited material selection. The Safari print itself is available in two combinations (Dark Grey on Stealth or black on Khaki), but given that each element can come with your choice of those, vibrant full grain leathers, earth nubucks or even tonal Elephant print colors means that there’s quite a bit more variety available than what’s been implied by these conservative sample designs. Each month in 2012 has served as a podium for the Nike Air Force 1 iD, during which an all-new customizable option gets introduced to the AF1 iD ever thirty days or so. Thus far, we’ve seen boot leather, elephant print, and tennis ball, so for April, Nike is bringing one of Tinker Hatfield’s other primal-based design prints – safari. While the name emanates a level of ferocity in the wilderness, Tinker admitted that the design inspiration for safari came from a couch, of all things (though the couch was upholstered with ostrich skin leather).
