In just two weeks, the world will descend upon London, England as the Games of the XXX Olympiad kick off as the torch is lit at the brand new Olympic Stadium.  It gets serious from there, as the world’s most elite athletes battle for ultimate supremacy, and Nike will continue to offer the United States advantages in the form of superior sneakers and gear.  Even US athletes’ medal stand footwear and sneakers are top-notch, like this Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low Light NRG you’ll see from just about all the ‘ball’ sport competitors.  These were profiled in Nike’s own ‘Medal Stand’ pack press release without mention of a mens counterpart, but as an earlier close-up look showed us, the above pictured design differs from the upcoming mens style with a slimmer build (no sockliner) and a slimmed down take on the translucent sole setup.  Have a closer look after the jump, let us know if this womens Air Force 1 Light can wrestle the gold from the mens version and stick with Sneaker News for US release info.  via SM

The Deconstruct version appears to have wrapped up its first lap through Nike Sportswear retailers, but maybe it will pop up in a few surprising new colorways like the one pictured above. The Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low Light returns after a couple of months away from the spotlight, this new Sport Red canvas pair is far more complex than its color code would suggest, a mixture of reds, orange, green and purple that comes together for a surprisingly versatile end. This slimmed-down take on the Air Force 1 is available now during the Uptown’s 30th anniversary celebration and you’ll find them online at NikeStore.

Since our last look at the Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Light, the Air Force 1 Deconstruct has popped up as an alternative for male sneakerheads who want the slimmed down style. But one thing these AF1 Low Lights for ladies have all over the mens is a unique selection of metallic suede shades. Following up on the Metallic Platinum pair from around the turn of the year is this new take on a familiar color often used on ‘Wheat’ colorups. The Metallic Gold variation on Grain gives off an earthy yet glamorous vibe, and they’d absolutely kill with a soft pink lace swap as a slightly shiny ‘Linen’ redux. Click through for more of this subtly spectacular Air Force 1 Low Light and grab yours from Kicks-crew.

Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low Light – White

March 4th, 2012 by | 4 comments

Casting its raw white upper in 3M reflective material proves that the Air Force 1 still has plenty of tricks up its thirty year-old sleeves, and the latest is another twist on the classic white-on-white workhorse. The Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low Light applies the Uptown’s lines to a slimmed down silhouette with a thinner sole, a design that might be even more Dunk x AF1 than the models already given that name. But even with the revisions, the familiar curves on this ever popular blank palette is all Air Force 1. Let us know if LLAF1LLs and look for yours at Nike Sportswear retailers like Titolo.

The Nike Air Force 1 celebrates 30 years at or near the top of the sneaker game in 2012, and next year also marks the debut of another new ladies-only AF1 variant.  Coming in at the opposite end of the spectrum from the Air Feather is the new Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low Light, a slimmed-down take on the classic Uptown silhouette comprised of a ‘no liner’-style upper paired with an uncharacteristically slim sole.  The effect is something like the opposite of the Dunk Force 1 SB mashups we’ve seen in recent years, this grey suede edition perhaps the most fitting colorway to define this model’s historical context.  Click through to see more details including how the upper shimmers under the right lighting/angle and grab a pair now from a Nike Sportswear retailer like Oneness.

Looking to slim down a bit for its 30th birthday in 2012, the Nike Air Force 1 Low has been spotted with the stripped look a couple times now in recent memory. Of course the other was the Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke ‘Vachetta’, but with the high barrier to entry many of us may never get our hands on a pair of those. Check out the new Nike Air Force 1 Light though, a retake of the iconic sneaker that again goes with the no-lining set up on the guts, but also shaves a few inches off the sole. The resulting sneaker may have you doing double takes, as the new look is subtle enough to have you scratching your head the first time around. This first look is a WMNS release, but no word yet on whether they will crossover to the mens category as well. Hit the jump to see the full shots and stick with Sneaker News for more info on the slick new Nike Air Force 1 Low Light. via SneakerFreaker
