It turns out that the Nike Air Foamposite One “Thermal Map” is a pair tied closely to the likes of the Nike Air Foamposite One “Weatherman” (And the ancillary Nike Air Force 1 Low style). The latter two pairs will launch on August 30th, with the red in the group not hitting retailers until September 28th. Generally we’d expect a batch of official images like this to provide a bit more clarification as far as the reasoning behind the theme but such isn’t really the case-although they do mention that designs “took basketball by storm” upon their debut. See the full “Nike Weatherman Pack” below and tell us which sneakers in the group you’re hoping to get.

There’s definitely a story behind the Weatherman and Thermal Map graphic prints on the Foamposites and Air Force 1 Lows, but until Nike officially lets those ideas out of the bag, we’ll have nothing else to do but look at these new photos of the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Weatherman”. It’s got the same pixelated graphic as the Foamposites, but with a gradient outsole and a clear Swoosh for a truly unique AF1 experience. A release date hasn’t been confirmed yet either, but who cares? Cop them right now¬†from ny_5thavenue on eBay.

There’s no doubt that Air Force 1 colroways have been crazier and crazier, but that route has certainly attracted some of the younger sneaker fans while the simpler, two-toned versions continue to keep the older cats pleased. Perhaps one of the most color Air Force 1s we’ve seen in 2013, the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Weatherman”, which borrows the identical graphic from the Nike Air Foamposite One of the same concept, features some additional details that might make these too irresistible to pass up. The opaque outsole matches the glossy nature of the upper, with a gradient white-to-blue serving as a nice pairing with the heat-mapped upper. A gallery of the Weatherman Forces is right below, so take a look and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more info as it develops.
