The Nike Air Force 1 Low continues to go under minor reconstruction for 2013 as we’ve already seen the classic ’82-born basketball model receive several new builds. It seems like a focused direction for the AF1 is the goal to get slimmer, and although this upcoming No-Liner Vac Tech build isn’t nearly as low-profile as the Downtown model, it achieves that sleek look thanks to the lack of an inner liner as well as the seamless VT molding on the rear. The materials on the upper are that of synthetic leather and nubuck, so it is likely that these are one of several general release colorways that will hit NSW accounts this Summer 2013 season. With 2013 being the “Year of the Snake“, the sick sneaker ideas are pretty much laid out on a silver platter. Snakeskin has always been a popular choice for premium-grade kicks, with the slithery, glossy surface above the scaly pattern giving shoes an unmatched level of fierce luxury. The 2013 installment of zodiac-inspired Nikes is indeed the Air Force 1 Low, seen here in the University Red/Black-Court Purple colorway; it features a daring red/black snakeskin on the upper with a sick black snakeskin-wrapped midsole for a Bespoke-like touch of class. Additional details include the fangs on the lace dubrae, the ’2013′ flap on the heel, and the Snake logo on the tongue. Enjoy the detailed gallery below and stay tuned for a U.S. release as these are already up for grabs at overseas retailers such as Sneakersnstuff.

Sneaker News just spotlighted the high and low ‘Year of the Snake’ Air Force 1s, but regular readers realize these are far from the only scale-detailed AF1s this season. Here’s another of the subtler manifestations, a new Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low in Hyper Red and white that from afar appears similar to the large and still growing number of Uptowns blocked in this style. But take a closer look, and you realize the overlay sections feature a subtle serpentine texture, a timely finish that’ll have these flying off the shelves from Nike Sportswear retailers like Oneness.

Sneaker News recently showed you an insane Nike Air Force 1 sample dubbed the “Puerto Rico”. Featuring Bespoke-like detailing like the baseball-stitching on the toe-box, the leather-lined interior, the intricate laser graphic on the upper, these sick Summer 2013 Air Force 1 samples definitely caught the attention of AF1 fiends and for good reason. The ‘Puerto Rico’ release of the Air Force 1 has been one of the more celebrated capsules in AF1 history, although a release hasn’t happened in several years. No final word on a release just yet, so enjoy the gallery of photos below and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more updates.

Following up last year’s deep ‘Year of the Dragon’ treatment of the Nike Air Force 1 series is the Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Year of the Snake’ pictured here. The pair puts on plenty of snakeskin as to be expected, but manages the carve out its own niche in the long lineage of scaly Uptown releases. You can credit that largely to the slick midsole that rocks with the reptilian look in a set of different tones than those found on the upper. Hit the jump to get a better look at the Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Year of the Snake’ and check back with Sneaker News for release info.
