Given the friendly rivalry that exists between the super-fans for each of the Air Jordan Legacy silhouettes, is it possible that the Nike Air Force 1 has earned more devotees in its thirty years than any other single sneaker design in history? You don’t stay on top for three decades without having the style and substance to satisfy huge numbers of sneakerheads, and this new Nike Air Force 1 Lux Max Air from the Pearl Collection celebrates the AF1′s 30th anniversary by showing how far the cushioning system it debuted has really come. No longer is the Air inside the heel or even peeking through a window on the rear of the sole; this pair gives you that 360 look and really enhances the crisp cloud-like appeal of this white and silver VacTech construction that Jeremy Lin was spotted wearing at NBA All-Star weekend. Click through to see more angles and find yours at select Nike Sportswear stockists like Millennium Shoes come March 3rd.

You might cringe at the thought of an older star getting involved in some XXX action, but relax – it’s just the Nike Air Force 1 celebrating thirty years of dominance. Each passing year, the Air Force 1 becomes more refined and the legend behind the shoe continues to grow, and this March 3rd, Nike Sportswear will launch three new designs of premium nature that will suit the tastes of sneakerheads of all ages. Starting with the High – the Nike Air Force 1 Lux Max Air features hidden-seam white leather upper with a full-length visible Max Air unit with a reflective silver strap, reinvigorating the OG White/Grey colorway that was such a stunner on and off the court. Of the two Lows – one is fashioned in black denim (all the way down to the midsole) while the second gives the ‘white-on-white’ some classier undertones by giving the upper a full 3M-reflective treatment while replacing the solid white outsole with the opaque milky white. The entire Air Force 1 XXX Pearl Collection will carry consistent design cues like Mother of Pearl-finished lace dubraes and aglets, the grid graphic on the sockliner, and a special edition pearlized finished box. Take a gander below and count on the XXX Pearl Collection to appear at select Nike Sportswear retailers on March 3rd.

They say there is no real significance of birthdays once you’ve already turned 21, but reaching the age of 30 is as much of a celebratory occasion as any other. It’s like a no-turning-back entrance into adulthood, so while one may feel the same inside, one doesn’t necessarily appear the same on the outside. So, with the Nike Air Force 1 turing the triple-X in 2012, Nike Sportswear will roll out a series of high-end releases with the grown-man appeal without toying with the original design – like this Nike Air Force 1 Lux Max Air. This high-top Air Force 1 is constructed in Vac-Tech styling, a reflective silver ankle strap, and a full-length, visible Max Air unit inside the translucent midsole, originally seen on some Supreme varieties a few years ago. Continue reading for the some detailed shots of the Nike Air Force 1 Lux Max Air and stick with Sneaker News for more updates on this spiced up rendition of the Air Force 1 as well as the entire Air Force 1 XXX Collection, and watch for these to hit select Nike Sportswear retailers soon. via streething
