Wolf Grey and Cool Grey have always been competing shades when it comes to the Air Jordan lineup, but what about the more mainline Swoosh arsenal?  Here it’s nice to see the two tones work together to give us a new look to the Nike Air Force 1 Mid, a sneaker that might get even more play now that we’re post Labor Day and autumn has nearly arrived. And while the Lunar Force 1 is making a strong push, especially when it comes to the strapped variants of the line, it’s nice to see the more traditional style return in an interesting color blocking that puts a premium leather paired with black nubuck. Hit the click for a better view and stay tuned for a release date in the near future.

nike air force 1 supreme fuck custom Nike Air Force 1 Mid Supreme F&%$ by JBF Customs

You can always count on custom sneaker creators to come up with pairs that sneaker companies themselves could never bring to retail. That rings especially true for this new JBF Customs joint, which does like his Bape Air Force 1s and borrows some streetwear fabric for its makeover. This time around he’s gone and grabbed a recent profane Supreme jacket for customer John Geiger and created this explicit pair. Continue reading to get the rest of the photos and let us know if you think you could pull off a pair of Air Force 1s like this.

The teaming up of Riccardo Tisci and Nike was definitely a surprise pairing, one that already saw a successful release of four models of the Nike Air Force 1 in a collection that paired a premium white leather with an array of oranges and blues. There was also a team of alternate black pairs previewed that then faded into obscurity, but we have good news – the pairs will see a release date come July 10th for European retailers. nike lunar force 1 sau paulo Nike Sportswear São Paulo Pack

Remember the Nike Blazer Zoom Hi SP “São Paulo” that we showed you earlier in the day? There are a couple more pairs coming that will wear a similar greyed out look. Case in point: the Nike Lunar Force 1 Mid and Nike Tiempo ’94 Mid on display here. The two sneakers again get decorated with cement colored pieces across the upper as a reference to the sidewalks of the city in question. Now that this group has grown to become a trio – can we expect the same to happen with the “Rio” sneakers? Stick with us for the answer and see more on the Nike Sportswear “Sau Paulo” pack below courtesy of Hanon.

A History of Luxury Sneaker Copycats

saint laurent jordan 1 A History of Luxury Sneaker Copycats

Yesterday, news broke that New Balance is suing Karl Lagerfeld over a sneaker being sold by the German fashion designer that features an awfully NB-looking shape, complete with an “K” across the side in place of the usual “N”. That sort of appropriation is nothing new in terms of luxury brands though, and there are plenty of other pairs on the market that owe varying degrees of their DNA to more pedestrian sneaker designs. Legal activity in this realm isn’t an entirely new thing either – Jordan Brand previously chased down Gourmet for their tributes and even New Balance had previous a win in this category following their settlement with Louis Vuitton over a 574 ripoff from 2009.
