nike rt air force 1 black 1 Another Look at the Nike x Riccardo Tisci Black Collection

Are Riccardo Tisci’s the biggest Nike Air Force 1 release of 2014?  There are plenty of signs pointing to ‘yes’, but maybe we should say ‘releases’, because following up on the staggered drop of the white foursome comes a matching black quartet.  These are styled just like the white pairs but with black on the top-notch leather uppers instead, which if they follow the white drop’s lead, will be rolling out gradually to the top Nike Sportswear retailers next month, probably starting with 21 Mercer and NDC .  Stick with Sneaker News for exact release info once you’ve seen more new photos below.

white on white air force 1s spring 2014 1 Nike Air Force 1 White on Whites for Spring 2014

There was a time when the Nike Air Force 1 Low in white on white was considered a must have for the rotation of any footwear enthusiast. They’re still a must for many, but some of the higher styles have sort of taken over in recent years thanks to their constant on-feet status for taste makers like Harlem’s A$AP Mob and Kanye associated Virgil Abloh. They rotate in and out of sneaker shelves on a sort of seasonal basis, but you can pick up the full trio featuring the Air Force 1 Low ($90), Air Force 1 Mid ($95), and Air Force 1 High ($100) right now at spots like West NYC. Take a look after the click and then let us know in the comments if you’re grabbing a crisp pair for Spring.

The Nike Air Force 1 Mid is the newest and least common of the three AF1 silhouettes, and it’s been reserved for just a few releases so far in 2014. This new pair makes it just three in three months, though you can’t exactly complain when the result entails a luxurious gold-accented black suede design like this. It’s one more example of the Air Force 1 offering more suede colorways than in years gone by when the Uptown lineup has traditionally favored leather treatments. Click in to get a better look and stick with Sneaker News for US release info on this pair just released over in Japan.

The Riccardo Tisci AF1 collection that’s right around the corner shows us a new side of the classic Air Force 1 in its three main shapes. This new Nike Air Force 1 Mid for kids does a similar thing in adopting an unprecedented blocking pattern that demonstrates a part of the shoe’s construction you might not typically notice. The side and heel panels (which includes the velcro ankle strap) are just about always done in the same color, so the strongest contrast possible in black and white has us seeing this familiar shoe in a different light. Click in to appreciate it from more angles, then cop yours at shops like Shelta.

A ‘middle child’ in terms of its height, the Nike Air Force 1 Mid is the baby of the traditional AF1 family, so it’s fitting that we’d get some colorful styles for kids. Here’s a new AF1 Mid GS that’s actually mostly black, but really pops with youthful exuberance. In addition to the texturized Metallic Silver on the Swooshes, we have a pastel accompanyment from soft pink, orange, yellow and blue hues, which gains some extra energy from the contrasts against a black upper and white midsole. Click in to get a better feel for these, then reward your lil sneakerhead with a new pair from NSW shops like Shelta.
