Tiger Woods is back with a vengeance and has a great chance to capture another green jacket when the 2013 Masters begins next Thursday. For the occasion, Nike’s hooked up their main man with a nice PE of the Nike Air Force 1 Downtown with special lasering on the heels of the shoe – one that Woods may wear during his off hours or maybe during the jacket ceremony! Which Nike Air Force 1 releases are on your most anticipated list for 2013? There appears to be quite the pack on the horizon from Nike Sportswear. The group looks to center around the return of the Nike Zoom Hyperflight in a number of ‘Hero’ style graphic colorways. The Nike Lunar Force 1 ‘Hero Pack’ will be joining in, as well as the Nike Air Force 1 proper as shown on this lightning-Swoosh style (Kevin Durant being the ‘hero’ paid homage to here). You’ll notice that all of the Nike Air Force 1 styles grouped together sport a little nod to the Alpha Project series that the original Hyperflight was born under (peep the five dots on the mid panel). Nike Sportswear has done a pretty good job at keeping the lid rather tight over its AF1-XXX releases, but here we have a preview that spills a good amount of beans for you to pick at. Again, 2012 is in fact the 30th Anniversary of the Nike Air Force 1, so the spread you see here – rife with high-energy colors and inspired concepts – isn’t like anything we’ve seen in recent years for the AF1; a few quick to note is the ‘Olympic’-esque colorway of Navy with the Metallic Gold swoosh, a faux carbon fiber in red irght next to it, a Grey/Pink/Royal colorway that is mildly reminiscent of the Nike Dunk Low ‘Samba’ (yes, we’re reaching far back to ’01), and even a new Hiking Boot AF1 style that features bronzed lace-hoops at the upper ankle. There are a few more Nike Sportswear models sprinkled around this preview shot (like the LeBron 9 Low ‘Liverpool’ and a few AJ1 Phats), so take a look and we’ll keep you updated on all these exciting releases. A shoe that never really wanted to blend in despite what its waxed canvas VacTech upper might suggest, the Nike Air Force 1 Low Max Air VT is really just the latest in a growing heatwave with an Uptown epicenter.  They continue the XXX Anniversary ‘Pearl’ set but are by far the most visually busy of the four, a traditional four color camouflage that’s framed in black for an even more dramatic effect from the full-length Air cushion.  Nike Sportswear’s New York flagship store at 21 Mercer Street will have these on Friday, April 20th; will you remember to be in line in time for the release?

Nike Sportswear is putting a unique spin on its year-long celebration of the XXX Anniversary of the Air Force 1 by allowing you to create your own special Air Force 1 colorway unique to any other in history. Following the immense success of the Elephant Print Air Force 1 iD in February, Nike iD has introduced a new palette of Elephant Print colors, like this luxurious Pecan colorway and a Black Flip-esque black-on-black treatment. There’s also a new menu of colors to choose from, making way for simple concepts like the brown/white and the tonal obsidian.
