In late September, sneaker aficionado DJ Clark Kent paid a visit to the Nike iD studio in Nike Harajuku, completing Nike iD sessions with two of his favorite sneakers of all-time – the Nike Air Force 1 Low and the Nike Air Max 1. Here we have a look at the final products; the Air Force Low features a tonal-black upper with suede and flat leather matched with a super-clean white midsole/gum outsole combination. He contrasted that simple colorway with a Knicks-inpsired Air Max 1, also with a gum outsole, that features custom tongue labels of ‘DJCK’ and ‘ATF’. Check out the detailed shots of both of Clark’s new iDs and let us know which of the two you like better!

There truly will never be another Dennis Rodman. While it’s difficult to look past his outlandish attitude, garish appearance, and controversial statements and stunts, Dennis Rodman was one of the greatest rebounders and defenders in the history of the game and served as a valuable tool for not one, not two, but five NBA Championship teams. In addition to being a top-notch rebounder, Rodman wasn’t bad on the offensive end either, averaging double-figures in his earlier days as a member of the Detroit Pistons, but as the years went by, he focused more on rebounding, defense, and dying his hair in a rainbow of colors. A seemingly unstable being, Rodman was traded to the Chicago Bulls, joining a Championship-ready team, and although the hair-dying continued, so did the elite level of defense and rebounding. Consider Dennis Rodman as an elite role player; he wasn’t exactly needed for scoring, but where he was needed, his performance was unparalleled.
Numerous championships, rebounding titles, All-NBA Defensive Teams is what truly makes up this man, which is why he will officially be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame tonight, alongside other basketball greats like Chris Mullin, Tex Winter, and Arvydas Sabonis. In honor of Rodman’s latest career achievement, Dennis Rodman, a former Nike athlete, was presented with this Nike Air Force 1; ironically, it lacks any color, but is adorned with a number of significant details from Rodman’s career. Check out the extra shot of the Nike Air Force 1 Dennis Rodman Hall of Fame PE below and let us know what you think. via ufbaseball15 on NT.
Update: Dennis Rodman will be wearing this special pair during the Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

A short while back, Hong Kong based CLOT revealed their collaboration with Nike on the 1World project with a Chinese New Year Air Force 1. There was mentioned of the special packaging but no images were included. The Nike x CLOT Air Force 1 comes in a special “Chinese Candy Box” packaging set. Traditionally, Lunar New Year celebrations include offering sweets and other edible treats from a red lacquer box to ensure a “sweet” year. Honoring this custom, the Nike Clot Air Force 1 packaging is a hexagonal red box with a partitioned tray layer, to hold shoe accessories, and matching lid. The box’s exterior is adorned with Clot graphics in black.
The Nike CLOT Air Force 1 will be available on January 16, 2009, for a suggested retail price of HK$2,800 (Hong Kong) or RMB2,800 (China), exclusively from JUICE (2/F A, 53 Paterson Street, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong; +852-2881-0173) or ACU (Shop 15, 139 Changle Road, Shanghai, China; +86-21-3308-0888).

Marok, the publisher and art director of Lodown Magazine will the the next global influencer to work with Nike on the 1World project. His Air Force 1 uses ‘supreme’ level materials including premium soft black leather in the toe area and heel and a dark obsidian canvas in the side panels, eyelets and swoosh. The sneaker is finished off in a nice clear white midsole and a icy orange outsole. Unfortunatley for most, Nort Berlin will probably be the only shop where these will be available. They will release December 13, 2008.
