Nike Sportswear will bring back the awesome quartet of Nike Basketball sneakers truncated by four-year gaps in the Air Force 180, Air More Uptempo, Shox BB4, and Huarache 2k4. So the question is: do you prefer the ‘Olympic’ theme, or this sleek Black/Volt composition? Next weekend, the Olympics will hit stores first, but just two weeks later, catch the Volt Pack as the three earlier models hit Nike Basketball retailers on July 15th (the Uptempo is looking like a House of Hoops exclusive). We’ll keep you updated regarding that information as it develops (as well as the release info on the Huarache 2k4) so let us know which of the group you like best!

Sports fans all around the world have a lot occupying their minds at the moment. The Euro Cup is going down across the Atlantic and over here we’ve got quite the battle brewing in the 2012 NBA Finals. Looming over these in terms of scope though is the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. The festivities get going on July 27th but Nike is apparently celebrating early, dropping the majority of the styles from their ‘Dream Team’ pack on Sunday, July 1st. On that sort of strange release date the Nike Air Force 180, Nike Air More Uptempo, and the Nike Air Zoom Huarache 2k4 all bearing the USA colors will drop (with the Nike Shox BB4 arriving a few days later on the 7th). Click through with us for a look at the models and let us know which sneakers from the USAB themed ‘Dream Team’ pack are on your radar.

Has there ever been a better season for patriotic footwear? The Beaverton team is killing it this summer, with one of the more exciting archs of their Olympic plans being the “Dream Team” set of sneakers that serve to resurrect a few classic basketball models that are no stranger to that international stage. We’re not here to posit a flat out best release among them but it’s hard not be excited for these two: the Nike Air Force 180 and the Nike Air More Uptempo, a couple of key styles that have built a lot more buzz than usual thanks in part to their united execution of the American look. If you’ve got both on your must have list you’re in luck, as we’ve spotted a size 9 sample set of the Nike Air Force 180 “Dream Team” and the Nike Air More Uptempo “Dream Team” up for grabs now. Hit the jump for the latest photos and then check out the auction from al6is on eBay.

A pretty hefty percentage of the sneaker community proceeded with the slow clap once it was unveiled that Beaverton was prepping the Nike Air Force 180 High for a retro run this year, but is it so much to ask that its little brother get in on the extended revival as well? For the time being it looks like it will be mostly a summer shoe, with the Nike Air Force 180 ‘Dream Team’ shown here anchoring the slim selection with its patriotic combo. With so many red, white, and blue pairs to choose from for the summer will you be fitting these in? Let us know and if you’re eager to lock down the Nike Air Force 180 now then Titolo has you covered with a pre-order.

There’s nothing ‘turrible’ about the return of the Nike Air Force 180 ‘Olympic’, is there? Considered to be one of the most treasured basketball sneakers of all-time tied to one of Nike’s most charismatic endorsers in history, the Air Force 180 is poised to make yet another return in a slew of new colorways, led by this original ‘Olympic’. Here we have some close-up details of this iconic shoe, made famous by the 180-degree Air unit (which has since been improved on) and one of the sickest gradient effects on a sneaker midsole – ever. These will be available at UK retailer endclothing this July with a pre-order opening up this June, so don’t miss out on this classic if you’re missing these in your collection (or if your Retros are thoroughly beat).

The ‘Olympic’ Air Jordan VII, Scottie Pippen’s Air Much Uptempo and Vince Carter’s Shox BB4 are all returning this summer to celebrate previous USAB gold medal performances, as is this pair pictured above in a different rendition from Nike Sportswear. A street-friendly modern day answer to the ‘Dream Team’ edition, this Volt-accented black nubuck Nike Air Force 180 is another reminder that it was only Michael Jordan who was able to keep the talented and charismatic Charles Barkley from rising to the pinnacle of the NBA and its sneaker scene. These 180 Forces are set to be joined by the other two aforementioned NSW models in this motif; how does the Volt-on-black look compare to the all-neon Zoom Huarache 2K4 from that same pack? The Dream Team will celebrate 20 years this Fall 2012 season, so get ready for Nike’s tribute to the most treasured U.S. Olympic team of all-time! With a concentration on footwear, Nike Sportswear will bring back a set of Olympic-inspired sneakers that were worn during the Games, like the Air Force 180 worn by Sir Charles Barkley. These have been re-issued a few times before (as well in the Auto Force 180 form in 2009), but it’s time for a fresh new stock because new pairs are dwindling by the number. You won’t have to wait too long though, because European retailers are reporting stock to arrive on July 2nd, and you can expect a similar ETA for U.S. stocklists (but we’ll keep you updated on a firm release when it becomes available). With so many Olympic-themed kicks on the way, where does this Air Force 180 classic rank on your list of must-haves for the season? Photos: overkillshop

The upcoming Nike Sportswear ‘Dream Team’ Collection is certainly the most fitting name for this set of sneaker releases, isn’t it? Aside from the direct reference to the 1992 Dream Team that took home the Gold medal in domination fashion, these four releases offer up the opportunity to cop some sneakers that we haven’t seen in a long while. The Nike Air Force 180 ‘Olympic’ returns once again, as does the Nike Air More Uptempo, that dropped in 2010 as a House of Hoops exclusive. Joining the two 90′s models is the Nike Shox BB4, made famous by Vince Carter’s complete demoralization of Frederic Weis and entire French National Team, and the Nike Zoom Huarache 2K4, that debuted during the ’04 Olympic year. We’ve got another look at the upcoming Nike Sportswear ‘Dream Team’ Collection after the jump so take a look and stick with Sneaker News for more release information as it develops.
