We won’t blame people if they thought that the “Area 72″ version of the Nike Air Force Max 2013 would be the best of that sneaker’s colorways to ever arrive. Those just may have been topped though by this, a much more traditional looking “Grape” take on the slightly remixed shoe. Do you prefer this lowkey version to the wild graphics and glow in the dark treatment found on the aforementioned All-Star release? Tell us in the comments below and keep in mind that the “Grape” version of the Nike Air Force Max 2013 is showing up at stores like Wish in Atlanta now.

2013 marks the twentieth anniversary of Nike Basketball’s original signature athletes colliding in the NBA Finals. A matchup so perfect it’d make the MVPuppets jealous pitted Michael Jordan’s two-time defending champ Chicago Bulls against rebellious 92-93 MVP Charles Barkley’s Phoenix Suns. And on the eve of the ‘Playoff’ Jordan 8 Retros next month, we see a classic Sir Charles model take on a style that’ll be gracing an AJIV later in the fall. This Fire Red Nike Air Force Max 2013 gets the ‘Toro Bravo’ tag with its aggressive colorway, and you can see a new set of images below while we wait for next Saturday, May 25th’s release at spots like Sneaker Bistro.

The upcoming release of the Air Jordan IV “Fire Red Toro” has the AJ4 dominating the Jordan Retro headlines for two years straight, and it appears that its strong influence is being felt by some unexpected models like the Nike Air Force Max 2013. We just showed you the “Grape” colorway, but peep this “Fire Red Toro” colorway that features a tonal red upper with hints of grey around the shoes for a similar color profile as the Jays. Nike retailers like Renarts report a release on the 25th of this month, so enjoy the photos below and stay tuned for more updates on this rather interesting colorway.

The Nike Air Force Max went to outer space and back, returning with an “Area 72″ colorway in the new seamless “2013″ model of the shoe. Thankfully, the original silhouette of this Barkley was left untouched, but the build structure has been altered to reduce stitching. This new colorway that we’ll unabashedly dub the “Grape” version is one that would’ve been a perfect for back in the day, when shoes were color-blocked with predominately white or black uppers and hits of colors in the same manner seen here. Nike Sportswear retailers like Renarts has these Nike Air Force Max 2013 releases ready to go on May 25th, so check out the extra photos below and let us know what you think.

The slightly redone Nike Air Force Max returned in 2013, with the All-Star ‘Area 72′ colorway whipping up some energy around the VT-molded Retro sneaker. This new Dark Grey colorway sorta shares the ‘grey’ profile of the All-Star, although this one opts for a minimal appeal with Wolf Grey and Black trimmings, but who knows – maybe the sneaker customizers will get their hands on these and use ‘em as a canvas. These have begun to hit sneaker retailers recently and Eastbay just reported a full size run of its own stock, so take a look below and see what’s available on eBay.

This past Monday Sneaker News juxtaposed this year’s Area 72 Collection with last year’s Galaxy, and it would’ve been a clean sweep in favor of the Galaxy were it not for the Air Force Max 2013. It beat out the Air Flight One by taking nearly 60% of the overall vote, so does that mean the Air Force Max 2013 is the must-have shoe from the Area 72 Pack? Cop them tomorrow at select Nike Sportswear retailers because they’re going to disappear fast, but get ahead of the game and cop right now from kicksclusive on eBay.
