Sporty colorways seem to be the perfect route for the Nike Air Huarache running shoe, as seen by this sublime mix of darkened grey tones and a vibrant Total Crimson on the “Huarache clip” on the heel. We’ve been previewing some newly devised colorways of this classic Running shoe, but currently these have been available only through international purchase (for our U.S. readers), so we hope that changes soon! Select shops overseas like mita-sneakers has this new colorwaysin stock, so take another look below and we’ll keep you updated on a release for the Stateside stocklists.

There are some regions in the world where the return of the Nike Air Huarache is a much more celebrated event than, say, LeBrons and Jordans. Europe is the place where trainers (or as well call, running shoes) are the apples of many eyes, and with the two OG re-issues of the Air Huarache already selling out in quick fashion, we know that whatever else NSW has in store for the silhouette will be met with equal fervor. This White/Cyber-Anthracite colorway isn’t exactly an OG, but the color-combo definitely works well with the high-tech styling of the Huarache – one of the true design marvels in the brand’s history. These are available now at overseas retailers like mita-sneakers, so enjoy the gallery of photos below and we’ll let you know when (and if) these ever hit the US market.

It looks like there is more Nike Air Huarache retro heat to be had in 2013. Whether or not that heat wave will make its way to the United States is still up for debate though. The Nike Air Huarache continues its European reintroduction with another fresh new color for spring. This latest revelation utilizes the same template as the University Red-accented edition we showed you a short while back. Thanks to switching from greys/white to a Squadron Blue, Steel Grey and Vivid Sulfur mix atop the white midsole, it feels a bit different, but a close inspection will reveal they are indeed born of the same pattern. Unfortunately, part of that means these aren’t available at US Nike Sportswear retailers just yet, so stick with Sneaker News to see if that changes and let us know which of these new colorways is best so far.

While quite a few folks are no doubt excited about the return of the Nike Air Huarache, there are likely some of you are a little nervous about a trend amongst the retailers revealing stock so far. To date it we’ve only seen overseas shops reporting pairs. The Nike Air Huarache is the latest sneaker in the retro category to get the ‘OG’ categorization. This time around that two letter suffix on the model doesn’t denote any pre-worn vintage look much to the excitement of sneaker consumers wordlwide. After the tease that was the recent Free/Huarache hybrid, Nike is at last ready to bring out the Nike Air Huarache in true to original form. The sneakers will be labeled with an ‘OG’ suffix, sort of in the same way that that recent string of Nike Air Max releases was. The first two colorways to arrive are the white/sport turquoise and the white/game royal, both of which will release at overseas shops like Size? next Friday, February 22nd.
