The Nike Air Max 1 has branched out throughout the summer thanks to the introduction of the lunarlon outsole and a hyperfuse/tape like upper to usher in a new age for the 1987 classic. But there’s still the regular retro out there, and new colorways are always hitting on a regular basis. This particular release features a white mesh base while accents of navy blue synthetic suede wraps around the lower half and heel of the silhouette. The exact shade of blue used still seems to be up in the air: Sneaker Politics calls them “Game Royal” but then go on to list them as “Photo Blue” as well. There are Brazil sneakers of all sorts at the moment thanks to the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Shedding light on something other than the footballing scene in the host nation is this new group from Nike Sportswear. The group consists of the Nike Air Max 1 “Foco Bonito” and the Nike Women’s Roshe Run “Pulso Forte”, which were created by Brazil-based artists Flavio Samelo and Jayelle Hudson. The graphics utilized are a combination of one architecture photo and one nature photo from the duo that juxtapose “the worlds of man and nature”.
