The lion’s share of the Nike Air Max+ 2011 colorways we’ve seen to date have a decent degree of contrast to them, whether it be via the side Swoosh or a colorful outsole. Here’s something a bit different, a tonal design for the latest in the Air Max legacy that blends in the recently popular total orange with the so called “max orange”. The result really glows, with the sneaker bursting with color all the way down to the 360 Max Air sole. Check out the full pics after the jump and grab this colorway of the Nike Air Max+ 2011 from NikeStore.

The Air Max JR recently released in a black and Freshwater colorway reminiscent of the OG Air Griffey Max 1 colorway from 1996, and now here’s a model that if it only had a bit of red, would be a suitable addition to a new power trio. The Nike Air Max 2011 lent its full-length Max Air cushion to the JRs, and now in turn, it utilizes a black and Freshwater color scheme that looks great with speckles running along the midsole. If past years were any indication, July’s introduction of a leather bodied Nike Air Max+ 2011 would suggest that the Swoosh is winding down production for this year’s flagship runner with plans to introduce its successor early in the coming year and with a bang. That last part is probably true, but judging by the latest Air Max 2011 to hit retail, it’ll be quite a while before we stop seeing new colorways from this model. And we’re quite happy about that given how well this black and Binary Blue combo came together (wouldn’t be the same without the Volt tongue tag). Click through to see more angles and pick up a pair today from FinishLine.

If you were going to pick a time to start running (again), the beginning of the year would be the most popular choice, with influences like New Year’s resolutions and the specter of spring break pushing people to shed their wintery blubber. But if there was a second most popular time for people to move forward on adopting a fitter lifestyle it’d be during the warm summer months, and perhaps no single colorway of the Nike Air Max+ 2011 better reflects the energy of the season. This Sonic Yellow Air Max 2011 will turn heads even as you’re training to boost your own visual appeal, and they’re available for the taking now from NikeStore.

You may have your 2011 sneaker pick-up calendar already figured out, but remember that not all sneakers have solid release dates! Some great releases may fall under the radar, so the Sneaker News Weekly Buyer’s Guide puts a spotlight on those kicks that deserve attention (mainly because they just became available in stores). Some big releases occurred this week, like the release of the Air Force 1 High Hyperfuse in three colorways (though just one is available) as well as the Air Jordan 1 Phat in the familiar white/navy colorway. A great set of Supra skate shoes also became available in a navy blue ‘Old School’ motif as well. Check out the rest of this week’s best releases below and sharpen your sneaker rotation with any one of the selections below!

The Nike Air Max+ 2011 was the first Air Max flagship runner to eschew Flywire after a two-year run with the kevlar fibers, this year’s model opting for a lightweight and breathable Hyperfuse upper. It’s this composite material that gives the AM2011 its distinctive geometrical lines, the distinctive look of which carries over to this de-Fuse’d Air Max 2011 Leather. They’re done in a rich black base with Metallic Silver accents, a colorway that seems to pop up on each year’s casual-leaning leather Air Max release, and you can find a pair right now at Finish Line.

Judging by their clear avoidance of any similar hoopla of late, it’s clear Nike Basketball learned that old lesson about eggs in a basket from the MVPuppets campaign back in ’09, though it now seems possible the Swoosh wasn’t entirely without premature celebration with regards to LeBron James‘ recently concluded campaign. Or perhaps this Nike Air Max+ 2011 ‘King James’ edition was crafted to keep LeBron cool during a summer when much of the heat you’d expect him to be feeling would come from within. The Air Max 2011′s carefully tuned full length Max Air cushion is precision designed to handle that kind of pressure, and this Heat ‘home’ style colorup is a refreshingly high-contrast take on the simple palettes that abound these days. The Nike Air Max 2011 is the culmination of decades and millions of dollars spent on research and development to come up with the world’s leading running shoe. Fitting, then, that this latest AM2011 comes in a colorway reminiscent of the greatest athlete who ever donned the Swoosh, a ‘Raging Bull’ of a Sport Red getup with black and Metallic Silver accents. They’re blocked pretty similarly to the 2009 Air Jordan V referenced above, though the use of Hyperfuse instead of suede underlines the evolution of this series over its quarter-century of dominance.
